I realized something while I was laid out for two months. Iāve been working too hard. Right now, I am looking at myself closely, not just looking at this self-portrait on my desk, but truly examining where I am in life and making a conscious choice to pivot. Iām choosing to work less and create moreā¦ live more. Life is meant to be deeply enjoyed, and getting stuck in the exhausting loop of a relentless hustle is the absolute opposite of what any creative should do. True magic doesnāt exist in the grind, it lives in the play, the experimentation, and the joy of creating just for the sake of it. Here is to remembering to play daily and enjoy every moment you can. I donāt know what any of this is going to look like, but I am unstoppable when I set my mind to something.
When an original piece sells, it often feels like sending a piece of myself out into the world. While Iām incredibly grateful for the collectors who have supported me over the years, it always felt a little bittersweet that those images were essentially locked away from everyone else.
