and you know what could be interesting following the dance, is how they choose to rewrite history. like, obviously if we're to follow the idea that fire and blood is the historical retelling of the story, it'll be interesting to see who gets humanized, who gets dehumanized (*cough* the women) depending on who gets to tell the story and how they choose to tell the story. that is something that also could have been interesting with sam and the maesters writing "a song of ice and fire" by the end of got s8 but since that shit was just shoe-horned as a "haha joke" last minute because "hehhh we forgot to mention one of the main players of the war of the five kings, hand of several kings/and a queen OOPS" 🙄 to me, hotd has the potential of explaning a lot of the things it doesn't follow from fire and blood, mostly by the fact that history is biased, oftentimes one-sided, and sometimes full of plain lies. the idea that at the end of this journey, whoever tells the story will feel the need to vilify both alicent and rhaenyra to the point of making them arch nemesis from the get-go (something the show purposely went against from day 1 of the story) is very interesting to me... i really hope they have time on s4 to explore that idea.
