yeah, uh, sorry i’ve been quiet over here. that’s because i’ve been working on a multi. no, i don’t have an url yet but it would feature mostly experimental muses (like celica from echoes!) with a sprinkle of muses from my inactive accounts & some i’ve written in the past. ike will be staying here, though! and i’m currently far more active on d.scord (elf punk™#9425).

GAWAIN’S SON HAS BEEN TAKEN by the same dark spell his father once was corrupted by and while it makes him a formidable opponent by all standards possible, the prospect of fighting him when he seems not to be in his right mind still irks zelgius. besides, any confrontation between them would be barred by their contracts with the summoner, who had also been quite specific in their desire of putting the branded in watch duty of his unstable comrade. there are others just as suited for the job, but given his familiarity with ike’s fighting style, perhaps they simply assumed this best. their reasonings do not matter now, however, not as he proceeds to take on what had initially been a suggestion as an order.

the begnion general expects the reaction that follows his attempt to get the younger swordsman’s attention, though if he is to be entirely honest, he had been meaning to simply drag him to the infirmary, to the healers that are better equipped to deal with this sort of situation. of course it would not be so simple, not when they are evenly matched in strength for the most part.

regardless of how childish it sounds he still elects to respect the other’s wishes. at the exclamation, he lets go of the mercenary’s arm, perfectly deadpan.

“very well. i won’t touch you, but you will follow me to the healers.”

      despite appearances   &   the wild look in your eyes,   you are aware,   all too aware,   of not being in the right state of mind.   how you retain sanity evades even yourself.   BY ALL LOGIC,   you should’ve become a raging beast a long time ago;   out of control,   consumed by the medallion’s chaotic power.   (a distant,   faded memory of a song,   no,   a lullaby comes to mind.   you were a child back then,   back when your mother wasn't among the corpses.   maybe that's what keeps you sane,   somehow.)

     the grip on your arm vanishes before you almost yank it back.   you pause and turn,   facing general zelgius,   who looks as IMPASSIVE as always.   his words,   or what sounds more like an order,   get you moving   ———   just not in the direction of the castle’s infirmary.

     ❛   ———   i’m fine.   ❜   this comes out of your mouth as a growl,   almost a warning,   animalistic.   you aren’t going to the infirmary.   not when your sister or rhys could be on duty.   you want neither to encounter you in this state.   ——————   you’ve made it a point to avoid the greil mercenaries until the red fades from your eyes   &   your blood is no longer boiling.
