How often do we jump on what the outcome looks like? How often we feel something is good or bad for us without giving a second thought. We have a habit of drawing inference but fail to gather some patience and look upon it as it comes, you know, a bit like taking it one step at a time.
Before actually experiencing it we make notions about it. Come what may we judge, we judge as soon as we are put into a situation other than usual.
Why can’t we say "We'll See"?
Here's a story which can be fruitful to remember:
A farmer had only one horse. One day, his horse ran away.
His neighbors said, “I'm so sorry. You must be sad!.”
The farmer just said, “We'll see.”
A few days later, his horse came back.
His neighbors said, “Congratulations! This is great. You must be happy!”
The farmer just said, “We'll see.”
Later, the farmer's young boy went out riding on the horse and fell and broke his leg. His neighbors said, “I'm so sorry. This is really bad. You must be so upset.”
The Farmer just said, “We'll see.”
The country went to war, and every able-bodied young man was drafted as new recruits. The war was terrible and killed every young man, but the farmer's son was not selected, since he had a broken leg.
We often are too eager to judge an outcome as good or bad, even though it comes out to be totally different with time. Initially it may appear to be bad but may lead to something good!!
