Oskar Blues’ Death by Coconut Irish Porter (Picked up at a Harris Teeter in DC). A 4 of 4. This is simply excellent - lots of great dark chocolate notes and a subtle coconut quality that helps sweeter it up and provide some additional complexity. Not overly sweet or thick - this has the right amount of roastiness to help cut the sweetness, and a thin enough body to drink easily.

Cracked this one open from the cellar - Great Divide oak aged Yeti Imperial Stout bottled in late 2011 - silky and smooth, robust roasted flavour with subtle sweet vanilla and a whiskey wood finish. Great minds drink alike.

Been wanting to try this one for a little while now. This is some #beerpourart of an Otra Vez by @sierranevada. It’s a gose style ale Brewer with cactus and grapefruit. Very different for #sierranevadabrewing but in a good way. Super refreshing and very drinkable. Liked it a lot! #gosestyleale (at Spread Deli & Bottles)

Modern Times Blazing World (Picked up at Total Wine). A 4 of 4. Smells of lots of citrus and floral notes, as well as quite a bit of malt sweetness. Really sticky lacing, and chewy body with some nice malt sweetness and candy sugar and a touch of roast notes, as well as a pretty aggressive bitterness. Lots of earthy and pine hop notes in the body, and a thicker, creamy body. Awesome.

Babeofbrew needed a touch of warmth and magic on this rainy day and Firestone Walker stepped right up with the potion to cures my ails. Pouring an onyx black and tan collar, Velvet Merlin is a smooth and deliciously approachable Oatmeal Stout, richly robust with an espresso bite, cocoa sweetness that finishes dry…there is definitely sorcery afoot!

Big thanks to @hoperture for picking this one up for me. Enjoyed a 51/50 IPA by @ironfirebrewing tonight. Very impressed! The fact that it only have 6.5% ABV and is loaded with so much flavor makes this one hell of a beer! Hopefully it gets down here to San Jose at some point! On a side note the can has a really nice label! (at Silo)
