The #TonyGwynn Museum has filled out nicely, if we do say so ourselves! Stop by and see for yourself (and be amazed at the achievements of the great Mr. Padre). #sdbeer #craftbeer @padres
Here it is, the culmination of our #EvilDeadRed fan label, a fantastically spooky design by @JaxsonIllustration! Catch this updated bottle (and the damn good red ale inside) in August. #sdbeer #craftbeer
Looking good while cruising the streets of #Texas! #craftbeer #sdbeer #texasbeer
Tomorrow’s Randall is Margarita Horny Devil: Lime, tequila and Grand Marnier-soaked French oak chips intermingled with Horny Devil (and it’s all topped off with a salted rim). #sdbeer #craftbeer
Pairs well with trees…
Every year, Decadence is an uncommon imperial-style beer and this year is no different. In homage to our California roots, we’ve brewed up an imperial California common! An American lager fermented at warmer temperatures, it’s a style intrinsic to our state and one that we’re proud to share with you nationwide! #sdbeer #craftbeer
Cascade Brewing’s The Vine 2012 (From Cascade directly). A 4 of 4. Honestly, probably one of my favorite from them - the white wine qualities and grape notes in this work wonderfully with the standard tartness and funk. Lots of complexity to the light fruit notes and plenty of tannins from the barrel. Not overly-puckering, but this is quite acidic and sour. If you’re picking from a handful of Cascade’s to try, I’d grab this.
Today has been a doozy. This beer and I say, “Suck it Wednesday.”
Not the best picture, but plenty of Nugget hop cones up there! Good thing, as we need another Nugget Pale Ale this fall!
Tart Lil’ Devil has been working its magic in the market for a while now… Have you been able to catch this impish brew? #sdbeer #craftbeer
We put our IPAs through the gauntlet last week and Mosaic #IPA has emerged as the fan favorite! We’ll be brewing Mosaic IPA as a specialty for our end-of-the-year Tap Recap. #IPAWeek #sdbeer #craftbeer
TODAY’s 32-ounce fill is Hammerhead Speedway Stout! Continuing the week of Speedway specialties. #sdbeer #craftbeer
Love this beer. Not sure how much of that love is actually for the beer, and not just the can art…
Dystopian Forest, But It’s Okay (Tired Hands / Jester King)

For those of you who don’t have a college degree in the English language or those of you who are too lazy to use google to answer life’s questions, this beer could have more easily been named “Scary Piece of Shit Forest, But It’s OK” instead but I like the fact that they used a $1.00 word instead of a few $0.05 words like I did. I guess that’s why they are the professionals and I’m the asshole writing reviews instead. Match goes to Tired Hands and Jester King. Honestly, once I heard that these two powerhouses came together to brew an IPA I knew I had to get my lips on it because after tasting both of what they have to offer individually I knew that their love child would be nothing short of the likes of Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis creating the gift that is Jamie Lee Curtis. I mean come on, if it wasn’t for her how would we ever know the target demographic for Activia, right? Anyways, this is a “foraged” IPA which means that these guys basically took a trip in the woods and picked a bunch of shit up off the ground and out of trees and decided to throw it in a beer. With that being said, it worked like a charm because this is one damn delicious IPA. This has a nice floral hop flavor to start with plenty of juicy nugget goodness with only a mild but noticeable bitterness before some light spruce flavors mix in giving this a nice earthy and perfume-like flavor before a light wheat sweetness mixes in with a little bit of citrus and bitterness to wrap things up. Clearly, Tired Hands and Jester King know their stuff unlike the fine folks over at the TSA who apparently don’t know a gun from a dildo which is evident by their “stellar” failure rate but that’s why we drink, right? This is an IPA not to be missed and I can see this being a great entry for those new to the biggest style in craft so make sure you get to the brewery and pick this up. As for you professional drunks out there, you need to drink this so get out there, grab your growler, and pick this sucker up ASAP. Enjoy!
