Folded Monarch Butterfly from Mexico.

I preserved the butterfly in resin and hand fabricated a display and frame with spanish moss, wood and clay. Also applied the technique “gold leafing.”

This looks beautiful in a window!

So sad that these beautiful creatures are endangered. The monarchs are at risk of being in their last years migrating to Mexico.

This makes me wonder if observatories such as The Metropolitan Museum are considering the importance of the monarchs migration.
