I know I complained about this multiple times but I am so salty about the fact we didn’t get to see what happened to Candlewick after the military camp setting,

I think that’s genuinely my only problem of gdt’s Pinocchio, I genuinely wish we got closure for Candlewick, I get Disney Pinocchio was like that aswell (maybe other Pinocchio adaptions as well) but del toro’s one specifically bothers me, like where did he go, did he die, did he survive, why couldn’t he come with Pinocchio and spazzatura, why couldn’t he be part of Pinocchio’s family, what?

It’s doesn’t ruined my enjoyment of the film (I adore this film if you couldn’t tell)

But this lowkey just bothers me a lot, like if spazz can get closures then why tf not Candlewick, I would have appreciate some closure for him

I do like to think Candlewick reunite with Pinocchio, I do want to write fanfic about this, but I kinda worried that might turned out shit

This is isn’t a complaint and kinda unrelated, but I do wish got a bit more of Candlewick and Pinocchio’s friendship, i get it wasn’t the main focus of the film but I would still see more of them being besties🥹
