My Rewrite of Episode 2 from Season 7

Zethrid: awww I guess that is true love.

Keith: Umm yeah about that. It won’t work.

Ezor: wait what?

Keith: I’m gay.

Zethrid: No...

Ezor: Freaking...

Both: WAY!!!! WE ARE TOO!!!

Keith: OH MY GOSH! ALLIES?!?!

Ezor: ALLIES!

Zethrid: It’s okay guys! It’s cool now! They’re allies!

The entirety of that ship: WOOOO!!!!

Ezor: So let me ask, is it leggy blue that you had your eye on?

Keith: Well here’s the tea on that...he’s a piping hot cup of tea.

Ezor: BOIII!!! I knew it! You were staring at him all fondly when he had your back. Ooo, maybe we can set up a way for you to bond! Like he can come in and try to rescue you!

So...my feelings after season 7...this is only a portion of my feelings.

Anyone that is going to the voltron panel to watch the first ep of season 1 with the cast, I wanna say this!

Respect the cast and respect Lauren Montgomery. These are people that are working hard on a show you all love. Dont get mad over ships and what not. Be kind. They deserve it. The show isnt over yet and theres more to come.

Be nice and try not to bring up too many ship questions.

Because every time they’re around each other, it feels like home.

Theory time!

Here’s why I think Lance’s connection with Shiro was weaker in the astral plain than Keith’s.

Keith was able to connect to Shiro longer and more clearer because the two had known each other for a long time. It makes sense that Keith would be his right hand man when Shiro was leader.

When Keith took over the role of leader and Paladin for the Black Lion, Lance immediatly jumped into being the supportive type without joking around because the situation didn’t call for it. He knew how Keith was feeling. This is what made Red choose Lance as their new paladin.

Lance was chosen to be Keith’s right hand man. Not Shiro’s.

Look at their personalities and relations.

Shiro and Keith have a brotherly relationship. Shiro is mentor to Keith and Keith has always listened to him every step of the way. Sometimes he will act out of impulse, but sometimes it is for the greater good.

When Keith took over as the leader, Lance stepped up and was supportive. Not only that, but he was willing to criticize Keith when he needed it, but still stayed supportive so they can move forward. Even before then, they seemed to work together well like they did on the Bulmera. Lance’s cool-head managing to keep Keith from acting out too quickly and talk him out of doing so.  

This is kind of the reason why I think Shiro will step down from being a paladin for a bit (at least until his arm situation and a bit of rest is taken care of. Seriously he’s been through so much) and have Keith take over as the paladin for the Black Lion leaving Lance in the position he was chosen for when the Red Lion picked him. Keith’s right hand man.

I’m not saying this to ship anyone (even though I have a selected ship from this). For all I know, no couple is end game and this is just team mates being team mates.

Everyone is concerned about Romelle being with Keith, but just consider this.

Romelle is Keith’s wingman when it comes to boys.

Like she legit talks to Lance to see if he talks about Keith and will relay that information back to Keith.

Romelle: Keith is pretty great, huh.

Lance: Yeah he is. I’ll be honest, I missed him when he was away.

Romelle: Oh really?

Lance: Yeah you can say it left a void in me.

Romelle: *listening intently*

Later on...

Romelle: *kicks down Keith’s door* KEITH HOLY FUCK, DO I GOT SOME TEA FOR YOU!

Keith: SPILL THAT TEA, GURL!

Lance: Hey has Keith ever told you about the bonding moment?

Romelle: Yeah? He said you didn’t remember it.

Lance:....I lied. I totally remember it.

Romelle: Awwww.

Later on...

Romelle: KEITH! YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS!

Keith: Hey can you help me with Lance? I’m not so good with these things.

Romelle: What’s in it for me?

Keith: You get to be my maid of honor if him and I get married.

Romelle: Deal.

Later on after things settle down...

Keith: ROMELLE I FUCKED UP! WHEN WE GOT TO THE CASTLE OF LIONS, I TOLD LANCE “I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THIS!” HE PROBABLY THINKS I HATE HIM!

Romelle: Boi, chill. He called you cool.

Keith: *calmed down* That’s right he did. <3

I don’t ship KeithRomelle romantically, but damn if I don’t support them as best friends.

Consider this...

Lance doesn’t just wash the mice. Okay?

He’s given them face masks, tiny towels to put on their heads, small tiny cucumber slices to put over their eyes which they later eat.

He wouldn’t just wash them. He’d give them a spa day.
