Asked my mom for some of her velveta shells bc all we have is eggs and bread and thats all ive eaten for a couple days, that or nothing, and she got annoyed with me and said yes but it was like "only bc saying no makes me seem like a bad mom" kinda yes and said if im making it for myself i have to make it for her too and now i cant even enjoy it

Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?
It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!
It’s July 20th. That’s the day of the moon landing. Next year is going to be the 54th anniversary. I’m ordering astronaut shaped cookie cutters on Etsy and I’m going to have a goddamn potluck. You’re all invited.

thats a beautiful gecko, but im more curious abt that plant its on, what is that? What is the purpose of the little bumpy ledges on it?? I kinda wanna chew on it for some reason, it looks crunchy, i hope its not poisonous

Some people really are just meant to be bg/side characters by nature
U can have all the talent in the world for what u do, u can be the prettiest peep in the room, u can be the nicest most likeable peep, u can put urself out there more than anyone, u can stand out and be so unique and special, but sometimes that just isnt enough to be someone worth anyone knowing despite what others claim
U dont need talent, or the right attitude, or to put urself out there, u need luck
It doesn't mean peeps lie if they tell u ur talented, pretty, or special, ofc
But getting where u wanna be just comes down to luck, and some peeps are lucky and others just... aren't
Might be nice to just accept that and stop trying so hard to be anything but a bg/side character, not everyone gets to go places they want in life
