A silly little zine thing.

I unexpectedly found myself in the livestream of an old Japanese man a few days ago. He makes little clay cat figurines, and cat charms, cat incense dishes, and penholders in a dingy, dimly lit room crowded with shelves and tools and equipment. He reads aloud every comment he can and replies to them in Japanese, all with his little ink smudge of a cat cuddled in his lap or napping before a heater.

“The cat’s name is Rakuro-san”, he tells everyone.

Had a bit of a back and forth with (what seemed like) a white person on Reddit who couldn’t comprehend why they couldn’t write their MMC to be Indian in their novel which doesn’t have race. Or any ethnicities. Or racism. What?
