All parents damage their children. It cannot be helped. Youth, like pristine glass, absorbs the prints of its handlers. Some parents smudge, others crack, a few shatter childhoods completely into jagged little pieces, beyond repair.

I think there are people out there worried that the same thing happens to them over and over again when the fact is, the odd of the same thing repeating itself is rare. Too rare to be true. I'm certain if we change what we are doing, the same thing won't happen again. Sometimes it's not them, but us.
