my feeling with regards to the billie piper cliffhanger was like 'well it's stupid but i suppose if this is what it takes to secure the show's ongoing existence it will be worth it'. consequently i now feel comfortable saying: that was simply fucking stupid wasn't it

Billie Piper as the doctor would have been really hard to write well and considering how they’ve been doing, it would have for sure killed the show. They’re so focused on nostalgia and not taking enough risks. Everything needs to start fresh.

I haven’t finished everything made recently, so correct me if I’m wrong. Just the fact that I had so little interest in the show after the Disney specials and Whittaker writing is proof enough for me to have an opinion though.
