Malevola x Waterboy (Unholy Water)
[Even more HEADCANONS!!!!]
{I haven’t played the last two episodes just yet, so I’m not completely caught up at this current moment.}
1. Malevola and Waterboy have been on multiple calls together and as such, have formed a strong synergy. That was truly tested when - after finishing a call at the end of the work day - Waterboy mentioned that his home was close by and how his grandma would be happy to see him be back sooner than usual.
The two kept talking as they moved. Malevola didn’t realize where they were until Waterboy pointed at the house next to them. They had mindlessly made their way to his house and, as if on cue, an old lady opened the front door. Sitting in her wheelchair and waving at her grandson. The heroes said goodbye, but just as Malevola was about to leave, his grandmother called out to her. Inviting her in for dinner. Malevola initially declined (didn’t have a good track record with older, superstitious people), but the grandmother’s sickening kindness and persistence made her agree.
That afternoon was surprisingly enjoyable for Malevola….while embarrassingly nerve-wracking for Waterboy.
His grandma was not a person that kept secrets, that was for sure. As she proceeded to tell Malevola stories about Herm. Like him being afraid of water parks until he was 12; or how the worst thing he did in school was purposefully joining the swimming team and using his powers to cheat. Malevola was shocked that he had actually done something bad before.
While she and his grandma were getting along great, Herman was busy covering his eyes a lot out of embarrassment. Especially when his grandma complimented Malevola’s natural good looks. His eyes widened as he tried to cage up his grandma’s power to say anything on her mind. In response, she looked at him confused as to why she can’t compliment the nice lady. In her own words, “I’m only pointing out the truth, Herm. You know, I was also quite the smoking fox in my younger days.”……….
That was the sentence that made him stand up and try ushering out a laughing Malevola. Just before leaving, his Grandma handed her a slip of dried paper. Something that Herman thought he threw away. It was a “practice card” written in his handwriting back when he was first put on the Z-team. It had different conversation starters and compliments that Herman had come up with. All of them meant to be said towards Malevola. When he was too nervous to speak complete sentences…..
Malevola now keeps that slip of paper hidden, in secret, underneath the wraps of her sword.
2. There was nothing particularly special about the day. Other than Malevola and Waterboy being sent out on a call together. Like they often were. Only this time, once the mission was accomplished, they were met by an unexpected “visitor”.
A suprise attack by a creature with skin like brimstone and eyes of fire. Something that Malevola knew right away. It was a demon… a full blood on top of that. They managed to defeat it. Causing it to be sent back to hell, but that was a starting block to many more similar instances.
Again and again they would be attacked by a full-blooded demon at different times and days. It reached a point where the Z-team got involved as well. While trying to understand what was happening, Malevola eventually got pissed off and took a trip to that horrid place.
She soon found an answer… A certain handful of demons were interested in a soul. A particular soul that was cleaner than most in the entire city. The soul of Waterboy.
They wanted his soul to feed their own power. Obviously Malevola refused to let them have him and quickly returned back to the city. She tried not to at first, but she decided it was best to let him know that they were after him and why.
Thus began a series of the two fighting against any demons that appeared, but it was only delaying it. Until another option was made apparent. Deals…. Demons are not allowed to interfere in another Demon’s deal. Even a half-demon such as her, held the power to make deals to an extent. Malevola hated that she even considered it, but it was Waterboy who pushed her to go through with it.
They would make a deal. The demons could no longer hunt after his soul, but…. That would be because she had ownership of it. A deal that she hated and felt so ashamed about. Until he simply told her that he trusted her. Enough to give her the “keys” to what made him…him. And not misuse it.
And so the deal was made. One that only they knew about (save for the demons). That was the same day, that Malevola knew she could trust him to such an extent…if the tables were ever turned.
[Alrighty… might’ve went overboard with the HEADCANONS, but they’re stuck in my…well, head😂. At least until I start getting that fanfiction out.]
