under my feminist dictatorship every unexpected pregnancy trope applied to women in fanfic ends in abortion until morale improves
Replaying imperial agent storyline.
Last playthrough I saved Chance, but this time - you know what? Fuck that guy. He was going on about how "oh, I'm sorry they mind control you, I'll never do this, I'm a good guy." and then he uses the code word on Taris like right away? (I love that "I would've come anyway" is one of the answers, even if you can't say it out loud.)
But fine, he could've asked nicely for a patch up at the lab and apologized for the mind control thing bc yes, he was in a bind, but he's so so sorry. Instead the motherfucker DOUBLES DOWN and tries to command you again?! Alright, rot in whatever hell you believe in. (Also, can we talk about how the whole mind control thing feels extra gross when the agent is a woman, especially with Hunter's remarks about her being his servant or whatever later in the story?)
“if you love this character then you must make him happy in your fics, right?” wrong. the horror. suffering. internal hemorrhage. hospital. immediately
Only time I've ever succumbed to peer pressure is when I larped as a merthur shipper when I was 13
No matter how much I love Kaliyo I don't think I will ever be able to play through the chapter in KOTFE where you recruit her without thinking "why are we doing this, this is clearly a terrible idea"
It’s so annoying when I say I have an irrational fear or a phobia and people try to logic me out of it. I just told you that it’s irrational.
I think an aspect to Kara, and the Drawing of the Dark as a whole, that is being missed here is that Kara exists as a clumsy solution to a writing problem with season 5 (low-key the rest of the show, but I digress).
By the end of the season, the writers had failed to establish any significant conflict between Arthur and Mordred. They don't have any serious interpersonal conflict and they're seemingly aligned in their beliefs and goals. But because the show is doing King Arthur mythos, Mordred needs to kill Arthur in like, an episode, and because they weren't willing to commit to either a) characterizing Mordred as sinister, insincere, or antagonistic, or b) having Arthur do something that THEY, The Writers, consider completely unjustifiable, there's a problem.
Kara's character is shunted into the narrative to solve that problem. She is introduced for the first time, established as being a 'first love' of Mordred's, tries to assassinate the king, and is promptly fridged to incite the needed conflict. It prevents the writers from having to abandon their desire to portray Mordred as sympathetic (Arthur killed his girlfriend) and their desire to avoid Arthur being unambiguously in the wrong (she tried to kill him and said she would do it again.)
Kara's character, her motivations and actions aren't fleshed out, bc the writers are not interested in her as a standalone character. They serve the same story purpose, which is to be the excuse to turn Mordred against Arthur. It's definitely a classic misogynistic trope/roll for a female character to be placed, and ultimately says more about the writers and the writing than the three characters involved. Which, frankly, can be said for a lot of the show.
Ziost is one of my favorite daily questing areas in swtor because how empty it is, and the color palette is so bleak. I feel like my ocs go there to be emo and sulk in their defeats.
bold words for a man who has been killing people for eleven episodes straight
realizing a headcanon of yours happens to make an element of canon even more heartbreaking when you hadn't even considered it from that angle previously
