i made a new one 🙈 over 8lb

just popped in to tell you all that i i found out i was pregnant like 4 months ago everyone agreed we weren’t prepared to get a 9 seat car i’m devastated but i have to think of all the kids so the next week i went to the doctor to find out my options (all the pp are booked out for monthssss)

so i go in and she asks when my last period was and i say well i used my pills to skip the last two months bc my last few periods have been weird and painful and she gives me a look. Then she does the stomach feel we all know and love before she breaks out the tape except she starts at the top of my pubic mound, right? then keeps. fucking. moving. Up. Excuses herself looking panicked, and takes me into the ultrasound room. Mind you, i am given zero context or warning when she plops me on the ultrasound throne facing the screen. I’m like, alright i can handle seeing the bean i ducking guess.

And there it is, not a 5 or 6 or even 8 week little gummy bear thing but a completely fucking developed baby butt clear as day on the screen. I go, ever well spoken “oh hey that’s a butt. Why is there a butt.” the full baby comes on the screen, it wiggles like crazy my brain suddenly connects the dots on my daisis recti “phantom” flutters and bloat.

if y’all ever feel like a bad parent i want you to know my sister is missing her oldest child’s birthday because she took the middle and youngest on a trip out of state without said oldest kid

not in a bad way really but like weird lol. i have to learn how to comfort a newborn without breasts too so that’s gunna be a hurdle

i can’t stress to you all enough how fucking pissed off my cats are going to be in about three weeks lol like yeah another adult to feed and pet them but also DOG. BIG goofy dog.

definitely having my first (but extremely early term) miscarriage rn and i’m absolutely fine but yeah no not having a fun time i do not like this

love watching grown adult strangers wrestle with their urge to ask potentially rude questions when my 8 year old tells them they are going to have a baby sister next month and my 4’8 self clearly has an extremely flat tummy i take way way way too much joy in it
