Helloey, I recently started listening to your music and was really blown away by it, and I started writing my thoughts on some of your songs and thought I'd share them :] (they were written on my phone in a random Google doc before the thoughts left me, so I apologize for how weird it'll sound lol)
Background vocals (?) in borrowed time is SO GOOD IM EATI G IT UP. It scratches my in my brain I didn't know was there. Also the bridge (I think) 2:15 onwards? OUGHHHHH THATS SO PEAK “your vision of hell” <- probably my favourite part in the song tbh. And don't even get me STARTED on the chorus. Smoke and mirrors mention, oh yeah. The vocals in this one are just phenomenal. The way they go from light almost calm during what I think is the bridge (aforementioned “your vision of hell part) along with the piano to more scratchy and heavy in a way just tickles my brain, it's such an amazing performance.
I am a weapon is easily one of my favourites for like listen #1. The chorus goes so insanely hard it's SOOO GOOD holy. Also the bridge, I think, “you can choke on your life” INSANE VOCALS THERE OH MY GOSH. I love that instrumental after it too. The electro rock style just goes so hard methinks.
Oh I'm dying for the strings in Father's lament. It's so good. Subtle classical instrument additions in modern music is like crack cocaine to me (can you tell I'm a band kid lmao). im also obsessed with that synth-y thing at the into and the way it builds with the addition of vocal, drums, then other instruments? That's so peak. AND THE STRINGS. I'm listening to it while writing this and they're just so good I can't stop thinking about it.
Oh editor’s note is like a punch to the gut in the best way. The emotion before the first chorus? Chilling. Mind blowing. I love how the guitar only shows up in the choruses at first, it feels so much more impactful. Also shout-out to forever passenger for another STUNNING vocal performance, I'm honestly blown away. Like I'm getting chills girl, it's so good. “When the fog's rolling in and it's clouding the truth” is a BANGER lyric, both in writing and how it's sung.
Something in the water is a banger in every sense of the word. The ENERGY, the LYRICS (you're playing god with tiny hands… you sit alone up on your throne of lies, omg it's so good), the guitar chugs during the verses, the full music drop and drum entry? So freaking good. “They feed me poison in the form of growing old” <- I'm insane about this. I think this song is my favourite in terms of lyricism, it's just such awesome stuff. It feels wrong not to sing along to this one. Also shout-out drums in this one, they go so hard.
Also I gotta give a quick mention to haunt me and the bridge. The way everything goes quiet for the piano and vocals is sooooo good. And the vocals there are stellar. “I hope I change some point of view” gave me chills. I had it play it back a few times I'm ngl

Try and guess which album I've listened to the most so far lol… the others are coming but so far I just keep playing songbird’s voyage on loop. Give it a week or two and I'll be able to listen to another album.
Woah this is long, my bad. Closing thoughts: your music is genuinely so freaking fire. The way you later instruments is so captivating. I keep finding myself listening to the same song over and over just trying to pick out a different instrument or harmony each time. The little electro flourishes (my music teacher loved that word lol) are so fun and add so much fun and whimsy. But I think the best part is your vocals, each one is such a phenomenal performance. Your emotional delivery is on another level, and the way you can go from quiet and wavering to bold and almost angry is just. So freaking awesome. I don't think I have the words to fully describe it, but I constantly find myself going "wow, that line went so hard, I love the singing" like, every ten seconds. I feel like I'm just saying the same thing over and over again, but hopefully it doesn't diminish the meaning. Your music is just so great, I only started listening a little while ago, but it's definitely some of my favourites now and I know some people who would agree. I gotta get my friends hooked on this.
