Blondie:

On the return journey from a rare solo job, walking along the forest path with a carefree smile and gait, Lucy was at ease with everything around her. That is, until she felt a powerful magical presence nearby.
Intrigued and feeling a spark of worry, she decided to investigate, veering off the main path and onto one of the lesser used ones, following her senses. She moved quietly, careful to avoid cracking twigs and crunching leaves as she went.
A glimpse of a figure up ahead made her edge over to the side, hiding behind trees to be safer while she approached, there was no knowing if the person before her was a friendly type or something more sinister after all.
Her fingers brushed against her keys on her hip for reassurance, her confidence growing, if there was going to be trouble, she knew she could rely on her spirits for help.
Now she was close, body pressed against a tree as she peered around as discreetly as she could, she realised the situation. Of all the things to stumble upon, she never would have expected to see Laxus Dreyar on the ground, seemingly defeated to be one of them.
It was incredibly disconcerting to see him in such a position, she stared with nervous eyes and a pounding heart. Laxus, an S-class mage of Fairy Tail, down on the ground, even getting kicked. The blond man had always seemed so strong, unbeatable even, and yet here he was in trouble.
She had to do something about it. Her hand fell to her whip and she freed it from its loop, taking a firm hold on it as she stepped out from her hiding spot and headed over to the unsuspecting mage standing over the lightning dragonslayer.
In a swift movement, a length of her whip wrapped itself around the man’s ankle and she gave a sharp pull, dragging him backwards and distracting him from casting whatever spell he was so focused on.
Not wasting a moment, she took a key in her other hand and summoned Taurus, instructing him to take down the opposing mage. The spirit did so with ease, and while Lucy had the utmost faith in him, she suspected the victory had a lot to do with the obviously enormous loss of magic the dark mage had suffered in order to take down Laxus.
With the enemy lying defeated, slumped against the base of a tree, Lucy ran over to her guildmate, concern etched into her expression.
→”Laxus! Are you okay?”
A growl grumbled in his throat the second the magic ceased to run over his body, not only was he aching everywhere but his pride was wounded on a level that made him want to bash someone's skull in. No one got the drop on him, he had honed his senses from the second he realized he could and yet this weak, skinny-ass bastard had managed to take him down in seconds.
It then hit him that his senses, the very thing he relied on to avoid situations like this, were all dulled and a groan hit him as he realized he wasn’t getting a cold earlier, the damn fool had been hitting him with his Magic since he’d been at the guild. No wonder he had dropped so fast.
Sitting up, a lot faster than he should’ve, he looked at the unconscious and rather poor excuse for a man and experimentally sent small zaps of his magic in his direction, smirking as he noticed him twitching with each shock. His arm then shot out and allowed a full burst of lightning to hit him dead on the chest, Laxus Dreyar did not take kindly to people handing him his ass.
“-- M'fine, thanks for ya help blondie.”
Nodding his thanks to the blonde he finally stood to his feet, determined to stay standing and not falter as he walked over to his now very unconscious assailant and pick him up by his hair, flinging him over his shoulder as he did. He might be ‘good’ now but that didn’t mean he had to be nice to anyone, especially not someone that had tried to kill him but he was going to be taking the scum to jail rather than a shallow grave, whether or not it was because of the other blonde standing near him wasn’t relevant.
“-- I’ll get this scum to a cell, you can head home.”
Turning to face the blonde in question he mustered up a smile, or what he thought was a smile it was too small to really be noticeable, and began to walk towards town. Having made it to the edge of the small clearing they were standing in he growled when his knees bucked from his body still shaking off the paralyzation. Today could go fuck itself, he just wanted a beer.
