Yeah, absolutely. My family is so close, and I know that I’m really lucky, because so many people don’t have that. My poor mum, though, she’s gotta deal with four of us boys and my dad. She’s a saint for managing. I love that all the boroughs have their own unique vibe to them - I guess we sort of have it in London as well, but not to the same extent, and not really along the boundary lines. It’s just like lots of pockets of communities slowly bleeding together. 

yeah me too. i mean my dad was never around but i’m very, very lucky to have the amazing mum i had, she’s a true superwoman for dealing with me and my sister all this time. especially all the rough phases i went through. but four boys, fuck- i can’t imagine that. props to your mum man. me too. new york is like being in 100 different places at once. i feel like with london it’s very much the rich and poor mixing together, which is kinda sad and kinda cool

i know how you feel trust me, i just wanna make it on the list. i was talking to jason momoa and he reminded me that if i make music that i love and my fans love then it shouldn’t matter. he’s right but it feels good you know. right and sometimes i really forget who i am and where i came from so i have to get myself together and remember that i am a bad bitch who makes amazing music that my fans love and that’s all that matters in the end.

yeah exactly, i don’t even really need the award, just some recognition. no that’s good advice and it’s totally right and i think like that most days, but sometimes it’s just hard. you are a bad bitch and you’re doing great for yourself, don’t stress about it at all.

I totally feel that, mate. There’s nothing like the strong bond of family. We’re the lucky folk who have that bond, and we have to make the most of it. Brooklyn is also very cool! I go there quite a bit whenever I’m in the city - so full of character. I think that’s a very fair deal. I’ll see what I can do.

it is, i really really love my family. they’re the people who’ll be there for you when absolutely everything else turns to shit and i appreciate that, we need those people. brookyln is amazing man, so much life and character and diversity. one of my favourite places ever. it’s the one places that truly feels like home to me. sweet, i’m down with that.

yeah i know what you mean, nothing like getting something on your own. it makes the win 10xs sweeter. i mean i was a little jealous but not their fault, they’re amazing women who have a bit more success and a bigger platform, but i don’t mind. i kinda like where i am.

oh yeah definitely, i really, really wanna make it on my own man. that’s the dream. yeah i get that, sometimes i get jealous when i see how well the other cast are doing from hamilton but then i take a step back and remember how far i’ve come since then and i’m proud of myself again.
