You can really tell when a home was well-loved and cared for, like this 1873 Italianate mansion in Ohio. And, it has quite a history:  It’s seen prohibition bootlegging, rifle fire in the basement, locally famous window graffiti from its original owner, a substantial fire on the upper level and ivy that was brought in from George Washington’s Virginia estate..

A main staircase that would make The Great Gatsby proud.

Unique features throughout the home include original hand tacked flooring with oak, cherry and maple inlay.

It has 12’ ceilings with elaborate plaster crown moldings and huge brass imported chandeliers.

Every room has an original fireplace.

In love with the stamped tin ceiling in the kitchen.

Nice powder room on the first floor.

Isn’t this step-down room off the kitchen fabulous? Look at that fireplace. There’s supposed to be a summer kitchen- maybe that’s what this room is.

Have you ever seen a more amazing bathroom? 

All of the bedrooms are perfect. 

This bathroom is so big, it has a desk.

This is my favorite- in the tower, they have 2 little stools and drinks for two.

Gorgeous home.
