A door appears incongruously in a rock wall near you. The door swings open slightly as if of its own accord.

A voice sounds from inside, cutting over the din of tavern-goers chatting.

“Welcome! What can I get you? We have single rooms available for 3 currency per night, or suites for 20.”

*puts down card and holds up a metal chip with golden color inlay.*

The wizard hefts a strange contraption that looks like a cross between a blender and an atm. It’s about a foot and a half wide

He takes the credit chip and places it in the machine. The chip is blasted apart by a jolt of lightning safely contained within. The machine now contains 10 glowing motes of Currency.

“Oh wow! Looks like your space money is worth double in wizard currency.”

“Oh… I have a lot… it takes 100 for a shitty apartment back home”

(I’m going off sci-fi standers that have currency be more like yen or super inflated currency.)

“Well, our suites are quite nice, and they come with a custom feature of your request.“

*Were on a Landing pad of a far out Starport somewhere in no man's space. The edges of Civilization basically. On the landing Pad two ships are located, one larger then the other.

The smaller ship seems fairly rundown with pockmarks of small sized impacts littering it's Rectangular tall hull while the larger vessel, which is occupying the majority of the landing zone with its flatter and square build, has less pockmarks and more rust on it's exterior.*

Well then, here are our "New" freighters.

I'll be commanding the larger one, who flies the smaller one is up to you to make out upon yourselves, just stick close since the smaller one is nearly unarmed. From the moment of boarding we'll be appearing as a "Personell Procurement" convoy for a mining outpost.

so uh, what kinda weapons these smugglers packin? we talkin ballistic, plasma, ion, emp, laser, chemburn, or explosive?

yeah, i can tell. only people ive seen insane enough to use chemburn weaponry was Nanotrasen. well they did service hellguns, but they had to cover them up due to the multiple geranatir convention violations the weapons broke, they added a voltage limiter to make regular laser guns that dont cause harsh infections from open burn wounds, though most black markets sold degradation kits with instructions on how to remove the limiter and other programmed safeties, so it was kinda futile.

“Ya, well the empire does use it… but only as an anti bioship measure.”

This should only take a moment, the actual approach to the base will be the longest leg of the Journey due to the need to emulate Imperial Travel drives slower speed.

*Just a short moment after we lift off, the accent a lot smoother then one would expect from the looks of the ship. After the atmosphere was left the ships jump to an area just outside the smugglers passage ready to make their way through it*

whats our plan of approach?

Land or dock, whichever method the base uses and then scope out the situation.

We'll be going into unkown territory with little to no knowledge of the layout. Our first goal will be to aquire maps of the base, we can do that the slow way via the high power penetrating sensors of the "Wayward Frontier" that will take a few hours, we can cover those with mock negotiations by some of us while part of our team scopes out the situation on foot.

Or we try to aquire the plans from the station computers. A Faster but riskier maneuver since we'd need to find a computer with access, hack it and download the floorplans. Every step of the way we might have a risk of being detected by the station security.

Juli, what is the relationship of the traffickers to the Empire? My assumption would be officially banned and forbidden but allowed to exist in the shadows is that correct?

[A pedestrian looks you dead in the eyes, and takes a sharp turn. She gestures you to follow.]

*I follow flying around… as a five or so foot tall harpy… this guy has no clue what stealth is.*

[You feel something pin to your wings. It's heavy enough you can no longer fly. You must walk.]

*he shapeshifter into a slime so it falls through the back into a bird*

I suppose I should introduce myself more formally. My name is Myltam. I live as inconspicuously as possible, and so far I have not been found. I specialize in blood magic, and most prominently use it to give myself multiple bodies. I avoid fighting directly, but if I were to engage in face to face combat, I have little doubt I would succeed against any nonmagical, nondivine life, and many things in those categories thanks to the gift you have given me. I have no gripes with killing, and I will kill again. Do not say my location, my name, my type of magic, or anything of the like to anyone outside of here without my permission. I will know. You will not live long.

“You lose blood in there and it fires out in three settings, webbing, stun, and kill… you can’t activate kill unless the target has made or planed to kill you within 24 ours, but once activated it will remain in kill mode for a week (when targeting that person)”
