Spoilers for The Boys Season 5 episode 1

1) I knew starlight releasing the flight video was going to do absolutely nothing, but I’m still glad it happened

2) it kinda feels like the Deep and A-train have had that conversation many times over the last year

3) I get why Hughie was so mad starlight saved Frenchy and Kimiko first but at the same time, kimiko was literally half a body and useless

4) a-train has completely grown on me and it makes me sooo sad that he died. I expected it this season but his redemption arc was so good!

5) I love that the last thing a train did was stop himself from running through that woman and that was the reason he got caught by homelander. I’m kinda hoping that the woman was able to get homelander killing a train on video but even if she did, they’ll just say it’s a deepfake

Rewatching Fall of the House of Usher and the way that the colors of the lights enhance when each of the kids gets closer to death is one of my favorite things about the show. It just increases the suspense because you know what’s about to happen, especially when you get to Victorines death

I’m finally reading the long walk since the movie came out and all I keep reading is how much people loved specific characters in the book and I just don’t get it.

1) I think Hank Olsen is annoying in the book. I felt terrible for him when he started to lose it but I never really liked his character

2) This one might be controversial but I’m not a big fan of book McVries. I think he’s very aggressive and mean, plus the whole tried to rape his girlfriend because she was more successful than him. I know it was written in 1979 so society is different but they could never make me like him after that story (I’m guessing that’s one reason why they changed his backstory)

3) everyone seems to hate book Barkovitch but honestly I don’t really have an opinion. He obviously only riled Rank up so show the other boys he was tough, and continued to put on this tough facade throughout the book.

4) finding out Art used to be a night-rider was very shocking and immediately made me dislike his character (I’m very glad they changed that for the movie)

5) I understand why they combined Hank Olsen and Scramm for the movie. I don’t think their would’ve been enough time to explore both characters in the movie, I do wish movie Olsens wife was pregnant because that’s the main reason Scramm entered in the first place

6) Reading it made me think that Stephen king definitely repressed some gay feelings because there is no way that Ray Garrety is 100% straight after the way he talks about McVries and Baker in the book

7) I felt bad for Scramm as soon as he started sniffling and i knew he wasn’t going to make it

8) I think the movie changed a lot of the deaths for the worst honestly. Some of the deaths are more graphic in the movie (Harkness is the first I think of) or get more screen time while in the book it’s more, “oh they passed out” or just hearing shots in the back ground

9) I think the mental toll was more obvious in the book but I think that’s because we got to read Garretys thoughts as he’s losing his mind, and that’s hard to do in movies

The 100 pt 5

The minute pike shows up on my screen I feel an immense hatred for him. He’s just so annoying. I also understand that Farm station had a huge issue with Ice nation but his immediate hatred for Indra irks me so much

I also hate how as soon as someone is introduced they just get to assume leadership for that season. The people from the ark did it in season 2 and now Pike and the farm station people are doing it.

Im rewatching the 100 and in John Murphys defense I can see why he wanted to kill Charlotte so bad in the 1st season. They were literally hanging him from a tree when they thought he killed Wells but as soon as she ADMITS to it, they decide she deserves a civilized conversation! I’d be pissed too

Also I feel like banishing John was so extra especially since it wasn’t his fault charlotte killed herself, and they had no idea what was going to happen to him, he got lucky that the grounders didn’t kill him
