PSA: If someone is having an anxiety attack telling them that their trigger is not worth getting upset about does not help the situation. Waiting patiently with them, possibly a hand on the shoulder or hug for moral support (depending on the person) is what will help. Telling someone to just calm down can aggravate the anxiety attack because the person is already trying to calm down and work through the attack.
You might belong in Gryffindor, Where dwell the brave at heart, Their daring, nerve, and chivalry Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff, Where they are just and loyal, Those patient Hufflepuffs are true And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw, if you’ve a ready mind, Where those of wit and learning, Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin You’ll make your real friends, Those cunning folks use any means To achieve their ends.

I stumbled across these 3 shows on Netflix this year and absolutely fell in love with them. I was pleasantly surprised.
BOMB GIRLS
Bomb Girls is a Canadian television drama that debuted on January 4, 2012 on Global. The plot profiles the stories of four women working in a Canadian munitions factory during World War II, beginning in 1941
THE BLETCHLEY CIRCLE
The Bletchley Circle is a 2012 television mystery drama miniseries, set in 1952. It focuses on Four ordinary women with an extraordinary flair for code-breaking and razor-sharp intelligence skills. Having served as code breakers in World War II, the four now focus their talents on catching killers.
CALL THE MIDWIFE
set in the 1950s, this period drama based on the memoirs of Jennifer Worth follows new midwife Jenny Lee and the other midwives and nuns working in a nursing convent in an impoverished section of London’s East End.
I already watch Call the Midwife, but now I have to find the other two on Netflix and start watching them! :)

In the USA, it’s 100x cheaper to take an Uber to the hospital instead of an ambulance.
I don’t know if this is true or.. Like, having to pay for an ambulance that is taking you to the hospital? That doesn’t make any sense. What kind of distopian world is that?
It costs thousands of dollars to ride in an ambulance
In America some people with chronic health conditions like epilepsy literally have to wear medical IDs that say “don’t call an ambulance/911”. Some well-meaning person calling an ambulance for you will turn into a thousand (or couple thousand) dollars that YOU are on the hook for, even though you didn’t make the call. So, PSA: if you see someone having a seizure, look for a medical ID! You should only call an ambulance if: the person is elderly, pregnant, or the seizure lasts more than 4 minutes. Otherwise, wait for the seizure to pass, then ask the person if they want an ambulance when they regain consciousness.
Oh my god what. Here in Quebec, if you call an ambulance for something they deem non-emergency, you get a bill later for like $180. But if it’s anything like a loss of consciousness, chest pains, labour, whatever, or if you’re in a public place and a a well-meaning samaritan calls 911, it’s paid for by the government. Seriously, everything about healthcare in the US makes me want to cry.
Imagine a world where you have to wear tags to tell people trying to help you that “It’s ok, don’t try to help, I can’t afford to pay if someone tries to save my life. I’ll just take my chances and hope it’s not life-threatening.”
I've suffered from syncopal episodes for a few years now. When it happened during school an ambulance was required. I recently had a panic attack and by the time I got in the ambulance I was completely recovered. Since I was on a college campus an ambulance was required. Another time I was on a plane so an ambulance was required, even though I had not actually lost consciousness yet. There were two nearby hospitals less than 7 mins away. Campus Police/Security are not allowed to take you to the hospital and neither are RA's because they are an employee of the college. Once you're at the hospital you still have to find a ride home. When I went recently it was dirextly after a snow storm in South Carolina. There was no type of transportation at 2am. Meaning I had to call an elderly friend to come pick my friend and I up from the hospital because she rode in the ambulance with me. There are a lot of things screwed up with these scenarios. I cringe everytime I see the hospital and ambulance bills and am terrified of having a full time job and paying for that myself. These episodes happen with such frequency that it is inevitable that it will happen and have to come out of my pocket instead of my parents'.
Isn’t it just so amazing, that trees give you oxygen, and then we make them into books, that give you something even better. Trees are the best.
You don’t like endings.
I like how this is set up as an alert. In the sense that we are being altered to his presence yet also that we do not have to been on alert due to a change of plans. I know He has a plan yet I struggle with when I learn of that plan and if I'm doing the right thing to prepare for His plan. When in actuality I just need to trust in Him, and not let the little hiccups get in the way.

Anyone else have a massively overflowing bookshelf problem? (As you tell it is a book and life problem)
hey, um, do you mind not commenting christian stuff on the things you reblog from me? Religious trauma victim here
Yeah. Not a problem. Sorry about that!
Thank you. And thank you for not being a dick about it, because a lot of the time, people will swoop in and try to “save” me the second I mention not wanting anything to do with christianity
I understand everyone is different and the fact that you asked means that it really is important to you. I try to live life with the understanding that you do not know anyone’s past. It isn’t worth it to be rude to someone, especially if they are trying to be polite.
As a side note, I will not make any religious comments on anything reposted from you, but my blog is a different story. I will not be offended if you decide to unfollow me. You make the decision best for you!
Just tag it “cass don’t look”, if you can, please.
I will certaintly try my hardest to do so!
