In both fandoms there’s a lot of sexism. Like a lot. And some people don’t even realize they’re doing it, but they are. Women and Cleo (because they categorize Cleo with the women which is a whole other thing) get shunted to the side, they get assigned to be mothers and sisters and caretakers and stripped of their own unique characterization to be whatever the story needs them to be for the men to have what they need.

Also the rampant infantilization of Scar is wild. He’s a grown ass man and most of the time he starts it. I’ve seen so many people whining about how often he’s getting pranked this season, not realizing or not caring that it’s payback for all hotguy-ing and the ore snatching. People also really baby him in the Life Series when he’s an extremely competent player and 99% of the time he’s playing dumb to manipulate people. And yes, I promise he knows that he’s making a dirty joke. He plays dumb because it’s funny. Again, grown ass man. I promise you 30 something year old Scar knows what sex is.

i had a conversation about this on stream not long ago but i saw a post of someone asking the v!smp cast’s boundaries. and a reply saying something to the effect of as long as they don’t see it, it’s fine. no hate, but please do not listen to this. each creator has different boundaries for different reasons and they should be respected always.
