Been a while since I've read the books, but we all know that Katniss is an unreliable narrator - but it is quite obvious from the start that she definitely does love Peeta, even if she tries denying it. As long as you make those points when relevant parts come up, you should be good :)

Artwork #2 - Petra in the Plains

For my next drawing, I decided to return to my social media roots - that is, making Minecraft: Story Mode content! Deciding on drawing Petra was obviously a no brainer; she's by far my favourite character, and it's been too long since I've last drawn her!

I tried learning from some mistakes in my first shared artwork. For one, I struggled with proper shading, so I coloured in the background before I started colouring Petra herself (this was mildly successful, although the background itself kind of hurts my eyes, lmao). Also, someone on Reddit suggested I look out for body proportions, which I tried to do here, too. I was slightly less successful here, although at least I did better in drawing muscle/tone than I have in the past. I'll definitely keep working on it, though.

Overall, I'm kind of... meh about how this turned out. I definitely could have done a lot worse, but I still definitely have a long way to go when it comes to shading in colouring, lol. Next time, I'll probably draw the background first - I probably would have done a lot better with realising where the shading and lighting would go, and I could've also done something more detailed than a simple sky and patch of grass.

If anyone has any other tips on how I could improve - I'm not just asking for them, I'm demanding you give them to me. I desperately want to improve! Insult the artwork if you have to! If you have 100 tips/criticisms and only give me 5 because you don't want to hurt my feelings... I would very much prefer you give me as many tips as possible, even if it stings, lmao. (But don't insult me personally - that won't help with my art, unfortunately.)

Also, you'll notice that I've signed the artwork with "randomality77", as that is the name of my main blog, as well as my username on so many other social medias. I decided to use this blog for art stuff, so I could keep my main blog free for shitposts and the occasional in-depth character analysis. I'll share this drawing, as well as some of my favourites in the future, on @randomality77, but yeah this is my secondary blog.

Once again, I just really wanted to show appreciation for these characters. I love them both, and I love the ship - it's so fricking sweet, and as I said last week, painfully underrated. (Also, Laurent's hair is brown because I also often pair Miriel with Frederick, lol.)

You can also cook them with jalapeños, chilli flakes, or whatever spice/herbs you prefer! Also cheese if you like. Potatoes are very versatile - a great blank canvas for many added ingredients, or even good just cooked with some butter and salt!

Something that has been on my mind for a while is that in MCSM, they don't have parents.. right? do people then just kinda spawn in like how mobs do in Minecraft? and are they full grown adults when spawning or do they spawn in as babies? also adding onto that, would it theoretically be possible for them to have biological siblings or be conjoined twins? or is everyone just, for lack of a better saying, by themselves?

This would sometimes come up when we were making MCSM as well. The advice I gave to folks then is the same advice I give now: It's probably best just not to think about it too hard.

Fire Emblem making all the annas twin sisters was definitely a rip-off of Pokemon with nurse joy and officer jenny. I suppose it could be a coincidence fire emblem pulled the identical sibling storyline, but it moreso feels like them copying pokemon. I say this all while being a fan of pokemon and of fire emblem.

Until "lady anna" in fire emblem engage, the whole anna thing never worked too well for me. It works in pokemon, though. I don't know why. I would write more, but I'm close to a meltdown. So I just can't!

Lmao. Both Fire Emblem and Anna existed before Pokemon or Nurse Joy did.

The very first Fire Emblem game, Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, came out in 1990. That was Anna's first appearance. She has since appeared in almost every game since then, apart from Gaiden and Shadows of Valentia. True, Awakening was the first to officially establish that they're all in a large interdimensional family, but even before then, it could have very well been accurately guessed.

I’m not sure if you were involved in the casting but do you know how Ashley Johnson got to be a part of MSCM? She’s one of my favorites:)

At Telltale we tended to do a lot of our casting last minute without a ton of time for a traditional audition process. That means we would typically cast actors by saying "You know who I bet would be good in this role? [insert actor name here]. Send 'em an email." These actors would usually be either folks we had worked with before on other projects or recommendations from other actors we were working with.

So how did Ashley become part of our roster?

Well, back in 2013 when we were working on "Tales from the Borderlands", we needed an actor to play Gortys the robot and trying to cast that part had been a nightmare. We'd tried about a zillion different personalities and ideas and gender flips and just couldn't land anything that worked.

Finally in a last ditch effort we decided to just make Gortys female-coded and as adorable as possible in contrast to the ugly and crude world of Borderlands. But who to cast? Luckily, Troy Baker (who was playing Rhys), recommended Ashley, who he had just finished working with on "Last of Us" and said she would crush it. He was right, and she charmed the pants off everyone.

So when we needed to do some emergency casting on MCSM for Petra we threw it Ashley, and thankfully she crushed it again. And that was that!
