SDR-- Punched in the Stomach BTS

Here's some BTS stuff in case anyone finds it interesting, including some margin doodles, my personal favorite drawings in the animatic, and my initial rough draft I sent to some friends for feedback lol

Preparatory drawings/models: The Neon Odyssey trailer coming out really helped me figure out how I wanted to draw these guys! So good timing I guess haha I wanted to use what was available to me, but also insert my own personal opinion on the character designs and draw them in a way I found fun. I didn't spend crazy long on these, just a few hours, and finished them just enough to think things all the way through.

I mocked up the setting I had in mind in Blender, which is always fun for me and helps me figure out how I want to frame things when I transfer my paper/sharpie thumbnails to SBPRO. It took me a long time to decide on how to use the audio I had and put it in some kind of context that supported the character moments and made it fun. I realized this was a perfect post mission/dinner table conversation, so that's what I went with! Yippeee

Out of context margin doodles I sent to my friends:

First draft: I got a lot of feedback on this that helped me reframe how I was handling everything... This bit is really simple so I decided to keep it simple with just a few reused camera angles instead of going nutso crazy. Did I improve? lol
