TMNT POWER AU - just my rambling
(Mutants have 2 abilities each)
💙 Leo:
-1st power (first discovered)- water (bender-basically-), has to have water near him, but if there is none and he need it then his tears can be used.
Way discovered: when they were going through katas there was I guess water near them (maybe by a river) and Leo was super focused and didn’t realize he was moving the water too. They tested it again, took some tries but after focusing he could do it? (Still in planning phase)
Note; easier to control water when it is in flow.
-2nd power (later discovered)- ice touch (like the mitus touch-gold touch-), has to be touching it with any part of his hand on the palm side or it won’t work, can mainly do frost/freeze things but can’t really shoot ice things. (His more serious and ‘cold’ ability) (also eyes look dull and intimidating because heck yeah)
Way discovered: when he was panicking about losing his brothers and felt empty or maybe when he was at a down moment thinking he was a failure during a failed mission and frost appears on the ground around him? (My friend thought of him accidentally freezing himself when holding himself) (Elsa moment lol)
Note; is able to use this ability to freeze the water, that he shapes into weaponized shapes, in order to fight with it. Finger have permanent frost bite, Donnie had to make him special gloves.
Changes in Leo: makes him more cautious, the fact that one wrong move and he could freeze anyone and possibly kill them if it reaches a certain temperature depending on his mood.
❤️ Raph:
-1st power (first discovered)- super strength (so basic I know lol), feels like he needs to be strong for the family and in order to protect them.
Way discovered: when they were younger maybe one of his brothers got stuck under something heavy or something heavy was about to fall on them, so raph would have either lifted it off of them or would go over the brother and try and stop it from crushing them eventually that determination gave the boy strength and he lifted thy heavy object. They eventually tested it and he could lift really heavy weights that originally couldn’t even go near?
Note; they didn’t know about this ability (since there was no indicator signs of it) until after they found about about his fire ability, but he has always had it before then.
-2nd power (discovered not too long after)- fire (but not bender though-he can’t control fire he can make it with his body), can set his whole body on fire along with certain parts, can do cool thing like fire punch or kick lol, but can make a fire explosion with his body if surrounded.
Way discovered: he has angry outbursts yes but this one was discovered when he had a really intense rage out moment of have to punch out his anger for either losing a brother or not be able to protect something from happening to them because of a villain (they don’t die just get injured) he would take his anger out on the villain and he screamed releasing the blast of fire from his body and while in a blind rage, with out knowing he was on fire, he would just attack the bad guy.
Note; before the flames engulf his body there are tell tale signs of muffled sizzling and crackling beneath the skin. He is fireproof. Can set things on fire to use as fire like weapons. Can melt through Meltable material. First time being on fire his mask and stuff burnt off, Donnie had to make him a flame proof one.
Changes in raph: these abilities would give him a newfound sense of being more careful, given that these abilities are a lot more effective in being destructive added with his anger issues
💜 Donnie:
-1st power (first discovered)- telekinesis (eyes glow red when using -sigh, I know I know-), he has to be looking at it though for it to move along with keeping his eyes on it while he moves it to a certain place, if he looks away then it would fall. Would use it to bring tools to himself or his coffee.
Way discovered: was looking at something and didn’t want to move so he just kept looking at it and wanting it to just come to him, eventually it did and he was so out of it he didn’t even notice and just used whatever it was (most likely longing for coffee)?
Note; only works on solid objects. When blinking, the ability only falters for a second until he gains his sight back to catch the object.
-2nd power (MUCH later discovered)- electricity (eyes gain purple electric charge), can produce it from whole body, like raph, and also certain places. Is able to draw it from objects to charge attacks and can charge things himself too, could also cause tech thing to lose power and turn off/power outage in only specific places (where he is). Would use it to charge up his inventions or could use it to turn off or on things. Can produce his own electricity, but not forever, he needs to recharge too (meaning boi needs to sleep, even though he won’t, so he doesn’t always have a full charge in him)
Way discovered: when he was feeling like an odd one out since all his brothers had two powers and he didn’t, so during a mission (fighting the kraang) when he was working on wires or something and everyone was fighting they would tell him to hurry up or if he could work any faster and so he would get stressed under the pressure. This happens during a lot of mission but along with that stress and him suddenly getting attacked making his progress gone and so he got mad and sad for not being able to finish, ‘failing’ and all the stress and emotions weighing down on him (intense mission) he screamed in frustration and that charged him up with the tech around him and it made a blast of purple electricity which powered down the krang bodies. (Still workshopping this)
Changes in Donnie: these abilities give him more confidence, mainly his electricity.
🧡 Mikey:
-1st power (first discovered)- super speed (the flash~), he would so have this, he so energetic.
Way discovered: had a hyper moment and started running around then boom went really fast and maybe ran into a wall. Or he wanted to escape a situation (like he got in trouble by breaking something maybe) and speed (idk)?
Note; sound of rumbling (maybe), as if charging up, in his chest before he goes (barely any time interval while he charges, it is rather fast)
-2nd power (later discovered)- fog/smoke, only comes out of his mouth so he’s able to breath it out and make a smoke screen to help them escape/hide
Way discovered: when he and his brothers were out of smoke bombs and surrounded/cornered. They weren’t able to get out and Mikey would start breathing really hard and scared since they were trapped, so he would close his eyes and without noticing that he started to create smoke with his breath that eventually filled the whole area and so they would use it, while the enemy couldn’t see, to escape.
Changes in Mikey: he already wasn’t very careful, but these abilities make him even more carefree, he has no caution and he thinks he’s invincible. (Which isn’t good for his brothers stress levels)
(Extra: donnie and raph are the only ones who have full body abilities. Leo and donnie are the only ones with glowing eyes while using abilities. Leo is most intimidating of the four, Raph the most dangerous, Donnie the scariest [in the dark when he needs to be], Mikey the most troublesome [when fighting].)
(Extra: April being half mutant she has only one [telekenesis] while her empath ability is a human mutation)
