Accidental gamer buddies are hilarious. Natsuo’s inevitable freakout when they meet up in person and he finds out the truth is always so funny, and Shiggy’s just like “so…you’re kind of hot, want to go out with me?”
I love the whole “I found this crusty feral villain bleeding out in an alleyway, guess I better take him home!” scenario because it’s just himbo Natsuo being a dumbass and somehow gaining a boyfriend who’s the most wanted criminal in the country.
Them meeting because Natsuo found out Dabi was Touya and chased him down is also always great. Identity reveals are awesome and Shiggy’s always such a little shit about it. “You didn’t tell me you’re a Todoroki? Oh, and this is your little brother? What if I just… flirt with him in front of you to piss you off… wait shit I’m actually catching feelings fuck-”
The one I usually go with in my own fanfictions is that they met at a college party. Natsuo was there either because his friend invited him or because it’s at his college, whichever makes more sense depending on the timeline (I usually say that Natsuo was in his last year of high school and his friend invited him because that puts them together before Shigaraki is a wanted villain and, to me at least, gives him more of a reason to stay together when he finds out what Shiggy’s been attacking his little brother’s class). Shiggy is usually there to steal food, and it makes for so many awkward meetings.
There’s one that a like a little bit more than the one I usually use, though…
Villain!Natsuo. Just… Villain!Natsuo. He joins the League of Villains early on to finally get revenge on Endeavor for Touya’s “death,” or maybe he joins because Endeavor finally pushes him too far with his whole “I’m going to not be abusive now that I’ve gotten exactly what I wanted” bullshit. He’s just a medic (even if it’s before he has a chance to go to any med school, even though he isn’t even majoring in anything relating to the type of doctor they’d need. He was always the family medic whenever things got bad with Touya, or Shoto, or even his mother when he found her crying once or twice, because Fuyumi was always crying too much to be helpful). In the process of getting his revenge, he becomes somehow just as dangerous as Shigaraki, not because of a quirk, not because of anything he himself has done, but because it’s become common knowledge that he somehow has the boss wrapped around his finger.
Villain!Natsuo is a top tier trope and you can’t convince me otherwise.
What made you realize that NatShit is no longer just a “hehe” ship and more of a “this is my sun” ship?
I found it by complete accident when I was looking for a Dabihawks fanfiction (which was actually before I was even IN the fandom. I had minimal knowledge of BNHA, most of it was about the Todoroki family, but my friend sent me a link to one Dabihawks fanfiction and I just started reading them for fun). I was like “wait this is actually really cute.” And then I started actually watching the anime because I wanted to see how crack-ish the ship really was. The more I got a feel for Shigsraki’s REAL personality beyond just the fanon I was like “Damn, why do I love this more and more?” So shipping Natshig was a complete accident but it’s also why I actually got into the fandom in the first place!
It has just occurred to me that I’ve never done any sort of “get to know the person behind the account” type thing, so I’m going to (very hesitantly) open my inbox for a minute.

I did a thing (it’s not explicitly Natshig but it’s the same concept as almost every Natshig fanfic/au ever so…)
First thing: I AM NOT DEAD! I’m in high school and that has been absolutely kicking my ass, I was in my school play which took up a lot of time, and I just came out of a three month period where I spent all my time writing, which didn’t leave me any time to post here.
I will probably be going back into another writing period, meaning no/very few incorrect quotes, little fanarts, memes, headcanons, etc. This story, however, is one I’ve been planning since December (the plan was to have it done so I could post it on my 16th birthday, which did not work out), and since it’s Natshig, I thought I’d share the outline I have for it!
The title will be kept secret until it’s posted, though I doubt anyone cares. Feel free to take a guess based on the acronym I’ve given, though!

By the grace of sleep deprivation and stress, I am blessed with a crack idea.
Shigaraki getting catfished by his game wife/husband. She took all his money, emptied their shared inventory and then left him in the dust and he's just. Devastated. Then he finds out that it's fucking Kaminari Denki and he's filled with rage not because he's gotten brokenhearted or anything (it's up to you if he is but there's added humiliation of a kid doing that to him) but because he got tricked by a fucking dumbass. A dumbass kid.
Natsuo must never find out about this.
(Natsuo, like every single little sibling out there, may or may not have a third eye for blackmail. He may or may not laugh when the story is finally spilled.)
All for One has no clue why Shigaraki isn't directing this hate to the One for All user, successor of All Might. He's checked the pikachu's background and there's nothing there he can find that could possibly lead to this level of fury.
The teachers are worried because whenever villains are in the picture for some plot, if Kaminari's present, their attention is suddenly honed on their pikachu student like killing him is a worthy enougn side quest to get derailed from their main goal for a bit and nobody knows why.
"He probably accidentally pissed off some rando who turned out to be a big bad villain." Bakugou scoffed.
Mall Incident. Still Denki, and a hand wrapped around his throat.
"Recognize me?"
He starts sweating bullets. Oh. So that's why.
Guess Bakugou wasn't too far off the mark.
"I want my items, the ones you stole from our shared inventory, back."
"Yes, sir."
Shigaraki leaves and makes a beeline for Midoriya.
Yeesh.
Kaminari shakes his head. Who would've thought that such a scary villain could be so gullible to be tricked multiple times?
So later when they're giving the police their statements, Kaminari just pats his back, sympathetic. "You too, huh?"
Midoriya: Did he ask you about their PR?
Kaminari, sweating: (I have made a mistake. Should I lie to him as well?)
Tsukauchi, somewhere else: (I wonder why the blond kid lied about the reason why Shigaraki approached him. What is he hiding.)
Shoto knows Natsuo is with Shigaraki so he asks Natsuo if he knows why Shiggy was mad at Kaminari.
Natsuo: Yeah, apparently they were married in a video game and the kid stole all their stuff
But Bakugo is being Bakugo in the background on Shoto’s end so what Shoto ACTUALLY hears is:
“Yeah, apparently they were married [*explosions* FUCK YOU, DEKU!] and the kid stole all their stuff.” He just completely misses the “in a video game” part and is shocked with the knowledge that his classmate was apparently married to a villain.
He saves this misheard idea for the next time the villains attack. Shigaraki is busy trying to kill Midoriya (what else is new?) and Shoto walks up behind him and calmly slaps him in the face.
Shigaraki, whirling around: WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR?!
Shoto: Because you married a child.
The entire fight just stops and everyone is trying to process this but of information.
Shigaraki: …what-
Shoto: My brother said you married Kaminari.
Shigaraki: married Kamin… HE WAS TALKING ABOUT A VIDEO GAME! DID HE NOT CLARIFY THAT? ALSO HOW DID HE FIND OUT?!
Dabi: I may have told him
Shigaraki: …
Aizawa: This explains so much…
Shigaraki: Do you really think I’m a child predator…? 
Dabi: I mean, you are dating someone a lot younger than you…

The pro heroes were called in as backup when the fight started and got there just in time to witness this chaos.
