Got this amazing book today! I have about 3 copies of Pride and Prejudice, but I couldn't resist picking this pure pulp awesomeness one up!
On February 28, 1967, Gov. Ronald Reagan spoke of "certain intellectual luxuries that perhaps we could do without." Here's why liberal education has never recovered.
Very interesting read!
Made another Hat Shaped Hat and love it! This pattern is so easy and quick, I could make one in several colors and be happy forever. I used Lion Brand Country in New England Granite. So, on top of loving this hat, I have also fallen in love with this yarn. It is really soft and bulky, plus the colors are really fantastic!
My best friend introduced me to the amazing site Fallndesign and you better believe I bought most of my school supplies from them (and some great washi tapes) - including this crazy red riding hood cat pen that says "I love you just the way you are" on it! Watch out 2nd master's - here I come!!
SO MANY <3 <3 <3
We put out a pilot for TruTV’s Big Deal competition. Reblog on Tumblr if you are a type of cat, thank you.
I am loving this video! So subtle, so funny, so true!
I made these Grandma All Around "doilies" for my Aunt and Uncle over Christmas. I made them a little larger though, by following the instructions below. My Aunt was very happy with these and I have to say I enjoy them as well (though I had made similar ones for a friend a while ago and I thought the yarn worked up better). These are so quick to make and I think they can be very versatile, just pick a color to match your mood!

I made my first afghan blanket for my dad this Christmas. For this I used Lion Brand Nature's Choice Organic Cotton in Macadamia and Dusty Blue. I chained 132 and did a double crochet, alternating 2 rows of each color. I had 21 stripes of blue and 20 stripes of white, so that was 41 alternations total, equaling 82 rows.
More Christmas decoration pics. I had posted the first view of the doors and now here are the last two. I had fun doing the theme this year, went a little back to basics and really enjoyed it!
More attempts at spectacular wrapping and a fun roof tree to help everyone ring in the holiday spirit! I think my favorite wrapping so far is the green with purple gnomes - I got the stamp and paper from Paper Source , then created the pattern on the plain green paper, and slapped on some bows (that strategically hid my mistakes). Yay for holiday fun time!

Truly excellent!
Can not wait to have this calendar! My Zoetrope is one of my absolute favorite artists and our home is bordering on only having her art in it. Her 2013 calendar always made me so happy when I would look up at it throughout my work day, so yay for that continuing tradition!!
Lady time = Emma with Jonny Lee Miller, tea, and crochet. Awesome time with wonderful lady Naomi!
I love the holiday season so much! This year I am making a concerted effort to really wrap each present in a pretty spectacular (or as close as I can get to that) fashion. My dad is the present wrapping master and since I haven't been able to go home for the holidays in a while I am really starting to miss that. So, instead of doing easy to transport and basic wrapping this year I am breaking out the bows, ribbon, stamps, and more to try and get some of that magic back and do my dad proud! Here are the first presents I got to wrap this season. I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday spirit!
A little taste of this year's holiday decorations. That's right, those are sneaky kitten ninjas (kinjas if you will) propelling down a rope to infiltrate the North Pole!
Check this Smart Girl out!
These kids are all pretty awesome!
