I know I say it every so often, but I really hope management doesn't realize that I end up doing waaaay more work when I'm working alone than when I have my coworker with me.

I'm always half tempted to have my supervisor leave a snarky note for first shift saying "We hope we left enough work for you, we only had one person as waterspider today" after I've left way more than first shift left for us when they have 3 people working as waterspider.

But I just don't want them to consider getting rid of my coworker in order to make me be more productive (but jokes on them! My coworker is quitting in a few weeks anyways!)

I just feel like I'm going crazy because I'm seemingly the only person who actually wants both shifts working together instead of one shift doing more than the other and fighting about it.

It's a simple solution too! But it requires just one extra responsibility to my job position and everyone thinks that'll be the end of the world

Somehow first shift complained that we didn't pick enough of the priority orders when there's still 4 carts (12 units) ready to be processed that were printed yesterday. Our shift only does 8 units per day and I doubt first shift does more than that. We even prepped for 12 more orders for when the line was low on orders.

Meanwhile, one of our work lines was left completely empty when there were orders in the system.
