Hi there 👋. I was rewatching your elemental swap video (which is one of my favorites) and i wanted to share a piece of advice on Zhongli's dendro swap that could help for next time. His first design that was based on his archon outfit had a lot of green (i do not mean any disrespect just thought that could be the reason you didn't like it 🙏) and i had that issue with Nahida when I redesigned her. Some advice is try to add other colors for a balance. For example, other colors that work with green can be black and brown or pink even. Too much of one color even with different tones can make the outfit less pleasing. I hope this helps 🙏 and have a good day ♥️

Honestly, the reason I hated the first design so much had less to do with the colors and more to do with the fact I just did not like how it looked, especially compared to its inspiration (i reeeeeally love that alternate outfit) 😅 I was already pretty unconvinced by the design before I even attempted to add colors, and I moved on to the hanfu idea almost immediately, because I couldn't imagine spending more time trying more color variations on it lol

But yeah, color balance is super important for character design! 🙌

I wish to know their creative ways to these outfits..

Oh, I'm not trying to make them perfectly accurate, my artstyle is just on the completely opposite spectrum of what's required for Genshin designs, so I have to stick to references if I wanna make something that looks at least a little on brand. I learned character design with animation in mind rather than illustration, so I'm just really bad at making overly ornate and overly detailed designs. 😅

Hi there! Hope you are well 🙏 I was curious if u had any other redesigns upcoming for genshin? Also what advice do u have for doing redesigns?

Hello, I am planning some redesigns in the near future, but I don't have anyone in mind yet! I kinda do them on fly tbh (even when it's a rework of an old redesign)

As for advice, besides "have fun with it" I don't really have much to say.😅 Redesigns are kinda super subjective and personal, since you're basically reworking a character based on your own vision, and the things I like to do or keep in mind while redesigning character might be counterproductive to what you want to do.

I like straight forward easy to read designs, so that tends to impact how I redesign stuff. You can probably tell when looking at my pets as humans designs. They're all fairly simple compared to normal Genshin designs. To try and mitigate that a bit and avoid simplifying a redesign too much, I don't stray too far from the original, so I can keep some of that complexity I tend to struggle with. It does limit me a bit, and I'm hoping to get better at that.

All this to say, do these how you feel works best for you! I've seen plenty of people redesign Genshin characters the exact opposite way of how I do it, doing stuff that doesn't even care about canon or Hoyo's design sensibilities, and I love 'em!
