I know this announcement is… over 2 weeks late…….. but in my defence I’ve been on holiday overseas for exactly 2 weeks and it’s been a tad chaotic ._.

But anyways, here’s the announcement… and technically the first time I’m officially posting about my youtube channel on here? I did repost someone shouting out one of my precious videos, and I do have my Tumblr account linked on my yt description… but those don’t count. So yeah, check it out if you want to :D

But in all seriousness, this video is probably my best work yet, and also my fourth ever animation! I know the movements are rough, the timing is off sometimes, and the pacing is just abysmal… but I spent over 300 hours trying to cram hundreds of hours worth of Life Series content and references into 3 minutes… so you’re gonna appreciate it with no complaints 🔫 (constructive criticism is always welcome though…)

As always, you guys are awesome (especially the 1k people who believe my content to be worthy of their subscription, and all those who have watched my videos so far), you guys are legends through and through!

My submission for the KOTLC Fanbase art competition: Draw your own KOTLC book cover!

I decided to draw what is arguably one of the most pivotal moments in KOTLC, the scene where Sophie burns down the Neverseen warehouse in Unlocked.

I tried to stay true to the original scene in the book, but, as usual, I took some creative liberties… such as adding the moonlark/black swan symbol in Sophie’s shadow.

This was a really fun piece to draw, but it had its fair share of struggles. I’ve never really drawn fire before (especially not balefire… which is canonically blue), and have always struggled with drawing people. Those on their own would have been hard enough, but adding the fact that it’s a digital drawing (a medium I’m still not comfortable with) to the mix just amplifies the struggle of producing a semi decent artwork. I also have this annoying habit of desaturating my colours when painting them because I’m not a fan of vibrant colours (they scare me).

But I’m still happy with how it turned out in the end :)

Got to see aurora australis last night!

I was at a youth bonfire social when we all saw faint reds and greens across the sky. These photos were taken with an Iphone 11, with the exposure set to 10 seconds in Silvan, VIC, Australia!

KOTLC Art Progression :D

I was looking through some old artworks and realised how many times I’ve drawn the Wanderling Woods. I’m not quite sure why I’m so obsessed with the elven graveyard, but you’ve gotta admit it’s a cool place.

100% would get buried there.

The first drawing was done digitally using Sketchbook on a crappy school chromebook in mid 2021.

The second is a painting I did mid 2022 using acrylic paint (which was new to me at the time).

The third drawing is also done digitally, but with a proper drawing tablet (XP-Pen Artist 22-Pro) and a proper drawing application (Clip Studio Paint). This is the most recent drawing I’ve done of the Wanderling Woods, being drawn in mid 2023.

I might do another drawing again in a few months to see how I can improve it :)

Note: most of these were drawn in the first 2 weeks of the season, so I will be updating their designs based on their skins and as events take place. Also please ignore the expressions… this is my second time attempting to draw faces so they kinda suck :/

Edit: I have realised that I wrote ‘Impulse’ instead of ‘Iskall’ on the third page (next to tiny moth Mumbo with his diamond blocks). I drew that particular drawing in the middle of a university lecture, so I was a bit distracted and only just realised my mistake 😅

I’ve been watching Hermitcraft Season 10, and boy oh boy has it been a fun one so far! So naturally, I had to draw my favourite moment so far (Ren and Grian’s plan to assassinate Mumbo failing miserably)!

Hopefully I’ll be able to draw some more funny moments as the season progresses!

I have fallen into the pitfall of obsessing over the Panakes Tree… again

It’s a cool tree okay 😭

edit: I realised I accidentally spelt ‘Panakes’ wrong on one of the pages, writing it as ‘Panakas’ instead. Apologies for the mistake, but in my defence it was like midnight when I wrote it >:(
