Sometimes, reading fics or people’s comments, I have this feelings that fandom only see Akane as, 1) that violent girl who is hitting poor Ranma ALL THE TIME (conveniently forget that EVERYTHING in that manga is a ‘hit-Ranma-gag’) 2) or that insecure girl because ‘oh Shampoo and Ukyo are more beatiful and stronger and know how to cook, and I’m the ugly Tendo and even Ranma in his female form is sexier than me and why he DOESN’T LOVE MEEE WHYYY?!（ つ Д ｀）’

And that’s all, that’s Akane Tendo and that’s why she can’t even handle Ranma’s crazy life.

But then I remember my beautiful manga and how she is always there for him

She can actually ignore the other girls

Obviously she has her self-conscious moments as any teenage girl, but she’s not always worried about it or has a trauma because of Ranma

She knows two can play the same game

and even when he is ‘always’ being cocky, he IS insecure as hell too, so she knows when he needs a little push

So yeah, if there’s someone who can deal with Ranma, that’s Akane.
