What was it even called...? Rotom phone, Rophone, something like that! It's so weird knowing so many things are Rotom powered now, but who am I complain about the fun little box with all the people in the world in it? I just HAD to get in on this action!

oh boy, there's a lot to being a ninja and you need a wide set of skills for it. you gotta be able to efficiently and effectively carry out various acts of sabotage and espionage- setting traps, infiltrating castles, gathering intel and carrying it back, monitor specific people, destroy assets, all kinds of things. you've also gotta be ready and willing to kill anyone you're told to- preferably quickly and silently. not to mention able to dodge attempts on your own life when you're as proficient a ninja as me! there's way more to it than that too- like being able to send and decode secret messages, you have to be skilled at both close and long range combat, you have to be stealthy quick and swift, ideally a ninja should be good at deception and trickery as well, be prepared to endure a lot of stress and withstand harsh conditions... this is still not even near being a comprehensive list of everything i was trained in or to do. i talked to some ninja girl running a poison-type 'gym' once, and was surprised to find that future ninjas don't do like, half the stuff i've had to.

I’d suppose if ninjas still served the same exact purpose as you do they’d probably be a lot more technology oriented… most information like you’d have to gather is stored digitally nowadays

here pokemon battling is a far cry from commonplace. it's usually only done to settle disputes and fight wars. when there is peace, you will see just about 0 pokemon battles take place. pokemon are our friends above all else. ninja hackers... that does sound amusing! hah, i could probably learn to do that in enough time if i wanted to, i just wouldn't have a use for it so there's no reason for me to want to. still, imagine being a princess ninja hacker!

ransei is very isolated and we are not taught much about the other regions in the world. everything i currently know was information i learned after i found this here phone from people on this site- that is to say, i have no idea what that incident you speak of even is. i believe we started measuring time as we do now from when the first kingdoms of ransei were established.

Pre-defacto calendar unification, and not using an alternative scheme I've seen on here before. Ok, that puts you almost definitely sometime before the 1800s in the calendar system I'm used to assuming somewhat standard events. Likely pre-1500s to boot given the isolated comment.

Are you a type specialist, or do you just keep whatever pokemon you like? If you are, what got you started?

im still amazed that some people are just born without specialties??? every single warrior in all of ransei has one from day one. i never consciously chose to be a dark specialist, i simply have a natural affinity for them, i link and bond best to them. it's not impossible for me to have a good link with non-dark types, but my links with them will typically not be as strong as with mons like my weavile. i only have two pokemon even in my care, and they're both dark-type. i was simply born this way. ... though dark specialists are very rare where i'm from. it's mostly ground, rock, and fire types here. we're not sure if i just got lucky or if my family actually came from somewhere else. ... not like there's anyone to ask for confirmation on that anymore, though.

well, that's definitely possible. you can prefer other types all you'd like- but your bond with them will rarely ever be as strong as what you are born with. i can link pretty well to a few electric and fighting-types, but my bond with them will never be as deep as my weavile, who also happens to be my perfect link. there are some warriors who will link out of their type. like lady oichi of aurora, she was born in dragnor thus she's a, very frequent there, dragon-type specialist, but she's linked with a wigglytuff. from what i hear, it's her perfect link too. so, not impossible, just really rare. most type specialists are also pretty good at caring for mons of their type. it's kinda like... you just know what to do, what they need and or want and stuff like that. i doubt i'd be very good at caring for a raichu, but i don't have to think twice about what weavile needs nor when. the speciality you're born with is essentially like having an inherent connection to pokemon of that type, but it's not like, completely foolproof such as with lady oichi.

i like bisharp!! so cool!! imagine a ninja with one those it'd be awesome!! but. pawniard are only found in the kingdoms of valora, nixtorm and yaksha... those are all like, really far away from terrera, where i live, and i'm not linked to any flying pokemon. also nixtorm is WAY too cold, yaksha has that freak of a warlord who i don't trust to not try to kill me at somepoint, and one of valora's warlords DID try to kill me once! so uh. no bisharps for me...

right right ransei is like super forgotten about by the rest of the world... ill never say no to spreading knowledge about us when asked, though! this might be a little long so settle in it's ransei geography lesson time!! the country of yaksha is on the southeastern peninsula, lots of caverns and swamps and generally most of the pokemon that live there and warriors specialty types are dark-type. they're currently under lord kotarō, who is a total FREAK. i hope i never get trapped in a room with him because i'm pretty sure he'd stab me or something. valora is pretty far northeast, it's probably one of the most advanced countries here, lots of mechanical stuff over there but also pretty cold at times. loots of steel-types there, kinda their thing. they're currently under lord ieyasu, but he's got two juniors, lord tadakatsu and lady ina. i don't know tadakatsu or ieyasu very well, ina however! i have ah, a fondness for teasing people and whatnot. being annoying is a hobby of mine! one time, i pissed ina off SO bad with my taunting that she legitimately tried to kill me! i sit very, very far away from her in meetings. never going to valora again! nixtorm is aaaall the way up north. it's almost always snowing there, and it's REALLY, REALLY cold. i think you can guess what pokemon are most common there. they're under lord mitsuhide, and he doesn't have any junior warlords, but he's got a daughter who's gonna be the next one when he can't anymore. i HATE dragging myself over there it's REALLY far but sometimes it's worth it just to annoy the hell out of mitsuhide! ah, and then terrera is the country i live in. we're pretty much dead center of the map, lots of desert and thus ground-type pokemon. lord shingen is my dad, so i'm in line to become warlord someday. as of now, i server his junior warlord, lord yukimura, as a personal ninja bodyguard. sometimes a warriors type specialty is different than what's most common in their kingdom, and no, type specialities aren't chosen here. you're just... kinda born able to link better to a certain type, sometimes two, than others. mine is dark, which is why i like bisharps lol. dark type and covered in blades? totally perfect for a ninja! but like hell am i going through all that to get one!!

i like bisharp!! so cool!! imagine a ninja with one those it'd be awesome!! but. pawniard are only found in the kingdoms of valora, nixtorm and yaksha... those are all like, really far away from terrera, where i live, and i'm not linked to any flying pokemon. also nixtorm is WAY too cold, yaksha has that freak of a warlord who i don't trust to not try to kill me at somepoint, and one of valora's warlords DID try to kill me once! so uh. no bisharps for me...
