Seeing all the love for my cheesy grin ghoul art the last few days got me like-

It means a lot and reminds me why i like the internet- and specifically tumblr. Especially after officially deleting TikTok and the experience over there.

Soap box moment- Yeah on TikTok I could get thousands of likes and views, but no one followed and maybe one or two people would comment. There was no real dialogue to show the appreciation and I knew my stuff would eventually disappear amongst the algo in 38-72 hrs. And so many of those views and likes were throw away accounts, bots, and frankly a whole lotta nothing. Instagram is just as bad now but I at least see the niches and people searching purposefully for what they like.

Over here it’s so nice to see people chatting and sharing something they like to one another and adding it to their lil collections. Seeing your accounts and how you curate them and such shows there’s a soul behind even the smallest interaction on a post. Yall keep being you and loving the things you love.

Companies love when we make fanart and effectively give them free advertising and material to feed the fanbases but hate to see anyone make five to ten bucks on a print so they can keep making art of the things they love and keep the companies IP alive….

My Arthur Morgan print listing has been nuked by Etsy and a rockstar subsidiary- of course during the holidays where people want to buy them for gifts… so I here I sit with a handful prints and feeling more and more deterred from making fanart.

I did it. I did a lil test selling my wares at a local market and now I've got the boothing bug.

Admittedly didn't make much- but it was free for me and the spot we boothed wasn't prime traffic zone and off the beaten path. But its what I needed to test the waters and ensure I really wanna do this without investing to heavily. On top of that everyone was so nice and those who did buy from me were all so cool and sweet! I'll certainly be returning next year. My friends who were selling their stuff along side me and already devised a game plan!

Everything I didn't sell this weekend is being listed on my etsy the next coming days- including more 5x7 prints and patches restocks!

If there are any artist alleys, makers/art markets, pop up markets- and so on that you know of in Florida, primarily north central, central, and in the tampa/saint pete areas, let chya boy know!

Remembering I have free will and don’t have to doom scroll. I can practice escapism by drawing my OC s, plotting and sketching comic pages to playlists I’ve made for them, and fantasizing about the terrible things they’ve endured and what more I’ll put them through.

The Death and Rebirth of Agnes

Taking a slight shift away from my usual fanart to self indulge a little. I made this piece to represent and tell the pivotal point where my character, Agnes, is freed from the cult she had lived in all her life- but at a cost. It’s the longest I had spent on a digital piece, and there had been long periods of downtime time between working on it. So I got to see where I had developed skills in the last few months.

I have rough sketches for the other characters in the story Agnes comes from, and may make a series of these in the future.
