Keep in Step with the Spirit
"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealously, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another."
Galatians 5:16-25 ESV
Saved Christians find joy in God by producing fruits of the Spirit through him. It is their joy and passion to do so. They are contrite when they do works of the flesh, when they fall into an old sin that Christ saved them from.
Fake Christians are not contrite when they sin against God, their hearts long to fulfill works of the flesh. Christ calls us to deny ourselves, to deny our fleshly passions and to crucify our flesh. This means if you truly love God you will stop watching porn, stop having premarital sex and orgies. You will turn from practicing witchcraft for God's sake, you will deny the desire to be romantically involved with a person of the same sex as you, you will turn from wanting to be a different gender from the one that God made you to be.
It can, and often will be, hard to repent of these sins (I once had an addiction to porn and it took a lot of time, effort, and guidance from God to finally stop). But Christ's grace is sufficient for us. He will give us to strength overcome these sins that plague our hearts.
May the Love of God the Father, the Grace of God the Son, and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with each one of us now and forever, Amen.
Paul teaches us that these troubles are temporary. When your spirit matures, what once felt heavy begins to feel light. Pressure loses its grip when you learn who you are in Christ.
Amennn
“Lord, Give Me Wisdom for What I'm Facing.
This might sound obvious to you, but one of the things I've discovered writing these devotionals every morning is what an extraordinary source of wisdom the Bible is for the real situations we face today.
If you're in a season of waiting, longing for something that isn't coming, year after year, Hannah has been there and has wisdom for you.
If you're starting over after a loss, stepping into unfamiliar territory with no map and no guarantee of how it ends, Ruth has been there.
If you're watching someone you love walk toward destruction and there's nothing you can do to stop them, the father of the prodigal son has wisdom for that too.
There's very little in modern life that doesn't have a biblical parallel.
But reflecting on how I've dealt with hard situations in the past, I've noticed my first instinct isn't to go to God. It's to call a friend. To text someone I trust. To ask whoever's closest to me what they think I should do.
Friends and family are a gift, and there's nothing wrong with seeking wise counsel. But somewhere along the way, I started treating God as the last resort rather than the first call.
James cuts straight to it in chapter 1, verse 5:
"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."
Whatever you're facing today, only you know what that is; there's wisdom available to you right now if you ask for it.
Not a vague feeling or a general sense of peace, but actual insight into your actual situation from the God who sees all of it clearly.
The God who knew Hannah's longing, who guided Ruth's steps, who sat with Job in his grief, sees your situation too.
Make Him the first call, not the last.”

So true..Amen. 🙏
Stop trying to control what God has ask you to trust Him with.
Isaiah 65:24. “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”(KJV)
I like this picture. When we come to God in prayer, He listens and answers, because we are His children. 1 John 3:1 says,
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (NIV)
Someone once told me that God isn't interested in our small prayers, we should only come to Him when it is something important. I find that so sad. God is our Heavenly Father; we can bring anything to Him, like our children can bring anything to us.
I look at this picture of a child kneeling in prayer, confident that God is faithful, and He will listen and answer.
That's the relationship God intended: He sent His Son, Jesus, as a living sacrifice to build a bridge between us and our Heavenly Father so we could have that loving, trusting relationship with Him.
Friends, tell God everything that is on your heart. He listens with loving attention. He always answers, in His own way and time.
I am reminded of Hebrews 4:16,
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (NIV)
Have a wonderful, blessed day in Christ. Amen! 🙏🕊️🙌

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” - James 1:12
“Lord, I'm standing on Your promises, choosing to build my life on what You've declared rather than on what I feel, see, or understand.
Standing on Your promises is an active choice, a daily decision to trust what You've said over what circumstances suggest, to believe Your Word when everything else contradicts it.
Teach me which promises are mine to stand on, to know Your Word well enough to claim the right promises for the right situations, to build on truth not wishful thinking.
Your promises aren't just nice ideas or hopeful thoughts but guaranteed truths backed by Your character, and standing on them means staking everything on their reliability.
Help me stand firm when pressure comes to step off Your promises and onto something that feels more practical, more reasonable, more immediately visible.
Remind me that Your promises have never failed anyone who stood on them, that they've held up under every test, every storm, every season of history.
Give me the strength to keep standing even when my legs are tired, when standing feels harder than sitting in doubt, when others think I'm foolish for believing.
Let me stand confidently today on the promises of God, feet planted firmly on truth that cannot shift, building my life on words that will never fail. In Jesus' name, Amen.”

This is the post that spoke to me. Perhaps it's meant for you too. Blessings to you in Christ. Amen. 🙏
God never walked away from you. He’s been beside you the whole time, and that’s why you’re still standing. It may have been unfair, you may have been pushed down, but the real question now is whether you’re ready to rise again.
