It was nostalgic to hear Bro. Randy explain this verse (Matthew 6:33) again. It's my favorite verse since I was young. But that's only because I know how to sing it. If asked to lead a prayer, I'd just sing this verse. But one Thursday night of 2014, I learned what Matthew 6:33 really means. Bro. Randy explained that if we put God FIRST in everything that we do (Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness), He will give us EVERYTHING we need (and all these things shall be added unto you). It was a eureka moment for me! When I applied this in my life, when I consciously put God first, He really gave me everything I need - good health, financial blessings, peace, happiness, love life (hihi) and many more! Blessings overflowed! Until now, I'm still in awe. I'm sharing this not to brag about the blessings. I'm sharing this to let you know the secret. And it's just to seek God first. Last 2007, when the seventh book was released, I went to the nearest NBS branch at 6am to fall in line and when I got it, I read it right away and finished the entire book in one and a half day. Now life has been busier. I missed the released date of the eighth book. Well that's one of the disadvantages of not spending time online. I just learned this morning that it was already released last Sunday. Thank God I found a copy! It was the last copy in the second branch I checked. I wouldn't be able to read it as fast as I did last time though. But I'm really happy to have a copy now! So excited to start reading and immerse myself in this magical world! Yay! Thank You Lord! Earlier today at the Feast, Bro. Bo said we need to know the difference between "constituents" and "confidants". He explained, "Constituents are people who are in your life because they are for what you are for, they value what you value but that's about it. Confidants are in your life not only because they are for what you are for. They are actually there in your life because they are for... you. They don't only value what you value. They value you. Whenever I'm out in the field, and whenever I have a choice, I'd always choose this over any fast food meal. Thank God I stumbled upon this meal in Adobo Connection, Vegetable Kare-kare for only P69. This is cheaper and definitely healthier. Yes, I'm being prudent with my spending. But no, I'm not trying to lose weight. Because losing weight is not a goal. Why do we commit sin? We commit sin when we don't trust God. Just like Adam and Eve, when they didn't trust God when He told them not to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree. They thought God was hiding something from them. They already had everything in the paradise, and yet they did not trust God, the Giver, the Source of everything. Just like our time now. Why do we steal? Why are we corrupt? Why do we deceive others? Why are we greedy? Because we do not trust God that He will provide for us, that He will give us everything we need. Why are we unfaithful to our husbands and wives? Because we do not trust God that He already gave the best partner for us. And now, why do we want to kill all the criminals? Because we do not trust God that He is in control, that He can deliver us from evil. Haven't we learned our lesson yet? When will we start to trust God, the Giver, the Source of everything? God did not give us problems for us to face them alone. He just wants us to trust Him. Can we?

Ever since I started my mission as a financial advisor, I never felt I was "working". I enjoy every client meeting, every story shared and every conversation. Each client is unique, with different experiences, personalities and beliefs. Each client has an interesting life story to share. And I love hearing each one of them. My goal is to educate them how to manage their finances and how to make their dreams come true. But to be honest, I think I learn so much more from them. About God, life, family, love and stuff. I've had a couple of client meetings when I actually cried. *sniff* My goal is to make a difference in their lives. And as I do that, they actually make a difference in mine, too. Mr. President, you're a very influential man now. Your every word makes a big impact to each and everyone of us. I know you want the best for our country. I can see your heart of service. But please, I beg you to know the Church first before condemning it. We won't argue with you, we admit, we are all sinners, so are our leaders. We are all striving, even struggling, to live up our faith. While it is true that our personal relationship with God is the most important, it is also true that the Church plays a vital role in strengthening that relationship. If you love someone, you'll know more about him. How can you denounce the Church who helps us know more about the God we all love? The Church who gives us hope, that no matter how sinful we are, we can still be forgiven? Please don't rob the people the chance to know our God more. Please don't rob the people hope. I understand that you've been abused by a priest before. I understand where you're coming from. I pray for your healing, Mr. President. I pray that you may find it your heart to forgive the people, the Church leaders, who betrayed you, who caused you pain. And I also pray that you give the Church a chance. Mr. President, we all want the same thing, a better world and a better life for everyone. The Church is not your enemy. We are all praying for you.

I take the MRT almost every day. Yes, the lines are usually long, the train cars are jampacked and the air conditioner of many of them are busted. There were times I got stepped on. And I also got stuck while the doors were closing. I have a lot of painful and challenging MRT experiences. And I used to complain. Until I realized, there's no point in doing that. So now, I bring my pink portable fan (Thank you Mommy for this!) to beat the heat. And while waiting for the train to arrive, and while in transit, I take the opportunity to pray the rosary if I haven't done so for the day. Or I listen to talks or my favorite music. My MRT rides are now light and happy. I don't have to wait for the new train cars. I don't have to wait for one or two or three years. I don't have to blame the president or everyone in the government. I don't have to be frustrated over things I cannot control. I don't have to wait for circumstances to be perfect.
