I AM BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK
@imnotdxne
Owen was ready to just get out with the other trainers to drink, when he saw a young man, a teenager, stare intently at one of the herbivores. It was, technically closed park except for the VIPs and of course Main street. “He name is Rhonda.” Owen said softly as he walked closer. “She’s a diictodon. Brand new species in the park.”
They’re dinosaurs. Wow enough.
@claire-deariing
“You know I’ve been going throught the database.” Not that he was supposed to do that, but that was beside the point. “Has anyone ever gone back to Sorna and truly checked out what happens there?” Because from what he was reading from the files - again he didn’t technically have clearance for them - there was an established eco-system. If it still survived. “We should have regular expeditions there to learn about our animals wild siblings.”
So uhhh, what, are you dating, like, an accountant now?
@bluxbeta
“Hey girl.” Owen said as he arrived in the morning to start with his work for the day. The raptors had decided to stay close to the concrete fences that night. He didn’t mind. Gave him a chance to interact befor everyone else came. He pulled out a bucket and approached the cage. “Care for morning training?”
@seegrady
Margaritaville was one of the places which had significant discounts for employees of Jurassic World, which led to some occasional party nights. Since the employees came from all over the world something like theme nights had even begun, with music from respective countries. Not today though. As many visitors were still around, it was the usual music, mostly spanish. The core raptor trainers had an early day as the raptors had behaved excellently and tired themselves out, too. With the nightshift already there, they could relax.
With visitors still enjoying a few drinks it was actually quite fun. Slowly the employees piled in. Owen eventually caught a glance of a young woman he knew all too well, aka his younger sister. He was feeling great due to how well his animals behaved that day, so he went and got a large canteen of pina colada and carried it to the table where the gentle giants minders sat. “A little something from the IBRIS-trainers to our gentle giants wranglers.” He winked at Cass.

Whoever had the idea to train the other raptors as well, must have been an absolute idiot in Owens mind. All of the advantages he had with his girls were gone with those. In essence to them he was food and nothing else. So at first he had to get them to respond to the clicker - if they ever would.
As with his other raptors, it was easy to point out the one leading the pack and thus the one he had to get. Every other raptor would follow their lead eventually. After clicking, he called out to it. “Eyes on me.” It was perhaps the hundredth time. But eventually, it had to work.
They’re like myths. And then you see… the first one alive.

He hadn’t screamed or even made a bit of a sound when he slipped. Instead he sat there, for solid ten minutes, not moving or anything like it. He just stared at what he suspected to be two or more broken bones in his hand, watching his hands swell. It was sadly one of the things that he knew happened to him after trauma. He became insensitive to his own needs, in this case, it meant the pain was numbed as different pain held him like a vice.
He had slipped while building their house. He had simply made a very wrong move. This was how he could calmly call out for Claire. “Claire. I need you to start up the car and get something cool ready. I think I might need to see a doctor.”
Owen had been on the island for a while when he saw the InGen people speak to some people who were clearly military or something close to it. Wonderful. This could mean multiple things: One, it was a simple visitor group, because even military or whatever they were, could be fans of dinosaurs. He had to know. After all he was responsible for one of the most dangerous paddocks the island had to offer.
“Hello there.” He said. “Are you visiting?” He asked them plainly.

What was wrong with her? Why was she being such an idiot? Whatever this was, she was glad for it - she was glad for it and she shouldn’t be reading into it like this. Claire wasn’t even sure she was ready for any type of commitment, she’s never had any before. There was no use in playing this off as a joke because it was too late for that now.
A scoff leaves her lips, practically dropping her toothbrush at his question. Shit. “No, no of course I don’t. Look, last night was fantastic and I just…I really really like you Owen, I care about you.” The redhead pauses, raising an eyebrow at the raptor trainer. “There are in betweens, I promise. I won’t force you into anything either.”
“Claire, I am a grown man.” Owen pointed out. He knew what he was doing with is life. He knew to say something when he was bothered by something. And well if he was, he had no shame in even clearing things up during or after sex. So he wasn’t too fuzzed with himself either.
“I wouldn’t let you force me into anything. I have a mouth to use it. I don’t mind you moving in here... as long as you don’t mind the fast that this bungalow is more on the small side of things - and rather secluded.”

IndoRaptor looked down at the individual who had already brought him enough trouble within these past few hours, and survived more than most it had sunk it’s teeth into. Yet, for once the creature didn’t care to take a bite out of this one, having filled himself on something fresh not too long ago. Instead, it chose to watch and observe the other. A snort left it’s throat when hearing the man vocalize, as quiet as it was, he could hear it perfectly well. Though, it was of what the man said that caused him to let out something close to an eerie laugh. He moved to slink in closer towards the other. There was a need to show him that he was not what he thought. That he wasn’t the companion that this one seemed to latch onto so closely; Blue wasn’t it?… He thought back to that name shouting from the two-legged one’s lips, and how easily his claws had rendered her unconscious, and injured somewhere behind him. But what did she call him, again…? I heard her say it…. But how to… in their’s…?…. “…. A͙͈̗͚l̤..͚̬͔.̶͙̮̝ ̱̮̙̼ͅͅp͙̮͇h̸̜͍͚̤̩͈a̖͍̩̟̰͎̞ …” The most foreign of noises coming from his throat, lips trying to sound out the chirp that she had given to this man. Never before had the creature tried this, but there was a bite to his mind that only urged him to continue. He was not going to give this newness up, and moved in closer towards the man with heavy steps, eager to see his reaction. Eager to get his attention, which was almost as bizarre as him not feeling the need to kill this one, as he had almost all the rest who’s come his way. | @raptorxalpha |
The thing was, he learned while working in the park, that they rarely were in the true position to oppose an animal. The thing as simply: They were either much stronger, much faster or simply much heavier than the humans. All the scientific advancements aside, Humans stood no chance and so Owen knew he stood no chance at all against this creature. There was no way he could outrun it. Raptors were viciously fast at times - if they wanted to be. He had no reason to believe this creature did not want to be fast. So running was just pointless.
Then he heard it. Having grown used to his raptors vocalization, this one threw him off. It sounded like it was trying to actually speak. It might be trying to communicate, but that might also just be a delusion of Owens, his head playing tricks on him in the wake of his potential death. It reminded him, in a way of the Indominus. Another creature cooked up in a lab, without another creature to socialize with, with training to be violent and with no idea what its place was.
“I hear you. You’re angry, aren’t you?” He asked as he tried to understand what was happening. There had to be anger. With what they did to it, it had to be there. “I understand.”
@daayaan is a real peach and i think you should go follow them!
I agree with OP! GO FOLLOW THEM ON ALL THEIR BLOGS!

For a moment they had a place, safe and away from the creature for just a moment. They had been in a similar situation before, with two kids. They could handle it. They have done it before. Owen stared at the door, the closed one that was hidden. They would be safe, but probably only for the fraction of a moment.
“Logic would say we split up. You should take Maisie and get out of here.” NAd he would distract it. It was logical. It was also stupid.
