Even though I liked Shion’s messed-up maternal vibe with Mizuki, his defection was lame and oversimplified (not up for discussion, simply a fact!). We knew he'd leave the Hashimoto from release, but taking the "emo boy gets friends, a girlfriend and a new purpose" route was... Boring.

It's not problematic, it's not technically flawed, bizarre, polarizing. It's just... Boring.

I wrote a big wall of text defending my thesis regarding this topic, but... In the end, they'll try to cater the fans that actually pay for the game, and if those fans like a (rushed) cheesy redemption arc (oh yeah I read too many manhwas) and a pairing with the poster girl, that's it.

Locke has a fuckboy face and attitude and I love every bit of it. Usually my virtual crushes are edgy and mysterious (cough Yone Kayn Yoru Iso cough 😷) so me even liking him was a pleasant surprise.

Also he's super stylish. I don't care that people don't think he fits Demacia's aesthetics, he's a hardworking platinum blond demon hunter keeping people safe, he gets to wear what he wants!

Waited forever for Cyclops to be released, since he's one of my favorite Marvel characters, and he's another duelist. Which is a pity as his kit seems very fun with the multiple refracted beams that would work perfectly with a vanguard (imagine concussive beams pushing people) or a new type of strategist that plays differently from a healbot, like zone control-focused. But that's on me for expecting anything different from big corps.

Been hit with the realization that I'm not as intelligent as I think I am when trying to write an Overwatch character that suffered an accident in a nuclear power plant and had their genetic makeup altered by it. They would need miraculous treatments to counter radiation sickness that would impact them forever (hello nuclear energy manipulation powers and weapons how are you).

But.

Realized I don't really know anything about it. Like exactly nothing regarding nuclear energy. All I can do say "sick" and a thumbs up because it most certainly is, I just don't understand how.

I have a headcanon that musical alternate universe (Riot Records) Jinx is an artist who is friends with/dates Ekko and she helped him designing stuff for True Damage, like the colorful and stylized visuals that are so striking and characteristic (bet that she did his face mark herself for the MV and photoshoot). I'd be happy to be proven wrong or right IF ONLY RIOT COULD MAKE TRUE DAMAGE'S COMEBACK ALREADY. IT'S BEEN (almost) 7 YEARS, PEOPLE, COME ON.

Maybe my life is so damn boring that I don't find the same amusement in fanfiction anymore. Reading unrealistic scenarios used to bring me joy and whimsy but lately it's just... Sad, I guess. Reality hits like a truck.

I try to chant the "work on yourself and it will come" stuff but damn have I not worked like a bitch in the last 5 years. Hasn't worked yet. It's like I took a loan so fucking long with no expectation to pay it off but keep paying it anyway because.

God knows I've been sleeping early+eating-well+exercising+drinking water hard+talking to others. Where's my reward for putting up with all that impossible crap? Hello, some serotonin? Will to live?

People talk shit about Moira X but damn, first life reset I had I'd be trying to do a 180° change in my life. And she was a genius cientist, best I could do is try to buy bitcoins (good luck sending money to the internet in my country in 2009) at the beginning and not spend so much on comic books and plushies.

Maybe I could even make an yt channel about pop music. Releasing pop hits before their time. Idk if it would ever be famous, BUT HEAR ME OUT, I only had to strike right once, like "Where Have You Been" or "Poker Face".

Or Minecraft. You couldn't go wrong with Minecraft back then.
