You know, a lot of time it's funny how certain headcanons and flanderization targets can take hold of people and sometimes it's not super clear where it comes from.

In Silco and Vander fic there's this often this idea that Silco is a numbers guy and he can't stop himself from doing Vander's books (because in the headcanon Vander often has messy books/doesn't care as much about running his business efficiently).

I always figured that it was just a general way to portray the differences in how they run their enterprise, with Vander down there, interacting with the people, while Silco is up there in the office making plans. And the way Vander and Benzo talk about the other side of their operation/the money also just seems super casual (Vander dropping the bag, Benzo saying it's junk) and informal.

It's a headcanon I'm actually fond of (I even started writing it myself in a fic I never published and then was super jealous to realize, actually, tons of people had the same idea and it's actually a pretty widelly used trope).

I had forgotten that the show actually had a line about Silco doing the books.

Okay, so it doesn't explicitly talk about Silco balancing the booksheets (though I would say it implies that's what he should be doing). But I think it's still an indicator that he does do the books rather than having a book keeper (I think the Necrit video suggested that maybe Chross is the numbers guy and hence the accountant).

Like we know he's making plans, but his focus could be anything from weapon schematics to how negotiations with Noxus are going to focusing on the interpersonal relationships (like with his blackmail material that we saw in Jinx Fixes Everything).

Of course that doesn't mean that he can't also have accountants, but imo it seems very plausible/a fitting headcanon that Silco wouldn't trust the numbers that others give him and even if he had accountants that he would double check.
