Don't get me wrong, I do like Walter. But it kinda fucks me how the film treats him as the good synthetic™ because he's more obedient and doesn't want to break free from his creators. Like yes David is an evil freak (and I love him for it) but he shouldn't be punished by the narrative for being a synthetic who wants autonomy and a life of his own.
