Been completely overtaken by work and irl responsibilities and troubles these weeks... Hopefully in June I'll be able to return to my personal stuff and finally draw again, and go back to Aurora's worldbuilding, and maybe even start doing outlines for the "episodes" of the story. And also work on my Star Wars thing lol
Ok not posting art in over a month is very weird from me, got trapped in irl shenanigans and also started studying programming, which took A LOT of my time.
Here some doodles of my main Digimon OC, Iza, also Wizardmon and Piedmon too, because they support her a lot, although Piedmon is just an annoying bastard lol
Also her non human form, I am debating on her design still.

some small concept doodles of Caedemon's signature ability, Gehenna Breath
Surprisingly, both this and his other ability, Nightmare Requiem involve hellfire, despite him preferring hand-to-hand and close combat. He doesn't use either of these that often, as he usually doesn't even need to.
Gehenna Breath can be either a sustained stream of fire, or separate projectiles that explode upon contact. The fire is extremely hot and is very hard to put out. It can also be powered up with the help of his Tamer, same as it is for other partnered Digimon.
Today's May 4th, so I feel like it's my duty to complain about my favorite SW topic again, which is Grievous
I guess a part of me still hopes that one day we'll get more of him, something that isn't just an occasional short comic/story that doesn't really expand on him as a character much at all, or more fumbled versions of his backstory. But on the other hand, I don't think I want to see anything new because every time he's remembered by the creator overlords, it's usually nothing interesting at best, a few cameos, or more butchering of him as a character. I'd rather just stick to what fans have made at this point, because they did him so much more justice over the years.
And I still wonder why, now and then. I know he was supposed to be a throwaway villain for RotS, yeah, I know what Lucas' plans and ideas for him were and all that, I know that in the end, he was never meant to be an important character. I know, I know, and yet - other, originally background/minor characters have been elevated to the status of very prominent and important ones over the years because the writers actually decided to put care into making them more interesting, other new characters have been created for narrative roles in the story he could fill in... And I wonder why. Why is this guy always getting shafted?
Like I genuinely get the feeling that the people working there just don't like him lol. Is it because he's not, let's just say, conveniently attractive for the bigger masses, so his appearance wouldn't be that appealing in a story more focused on him? That the audiences wouldn't really be able to connect with him? Too cyborg and too alien? Even a few animated episodes properly focused on him wouldn't make enough money to be worth it? Is that what they'd think? Or that there's no good story to tell with this character?
But there is though. His original backstory is still there. It has interesting themes, it ties well into the narrative about the Republic's slow decline and the failures of the system, and follows his fall from grace even before he became a cyborg. It could be changed a bit and adapted for a more "modern" retelling, even parts of his "new" lore could be integrated into it. Hell, have his desire to be a Force-sensitive/like a Jedi stem from wanting to be stronger, from him seeing himself as not being good enough to protect his people, a self-hatred stemming from his failures, or whatever, Idk. There's so much that could be done. Just do something.
I don't want to see him be ungodly all-powerful, or flawless, or whatever, I want to see the character glimpses of which we got from the old stories - a flawed but interesting guy driven to the point of no return both by external forces out of his control and his own mistakes. An actual character and a tragic villain lol.
I don't know. I'm not as annoyed by it anymore, more curious as to why he seems to be destined to not be treated seriously by the creators.
My first experience with fanfiction was on ffnet in ~2007. It’s hilarious to see teens who are the age I was getting so upset over fanfiction. I ran into the craziest fics back then on accident and I was either “wow wtf” or “oh that’s very fascinating” but I wasn’t so bothered that I went on a rampage over it.
For all its jank and issues and how messy it was, I loved the game and had a ton of fun in it and still think of it fondly. I know it's still alive, sort of, but Idk
I really need to work on that Starfall SW AU of mine again someday. Considering it can be summed up as "lots of politics and Grievous having a very bad day for three years straight"
