The misinterpretation of what love means to the jedi makes me so sad, that they aren't allowed to love, especially because their core beliefs are based around love and understanding and compassion and empathy. Anakin says it to padme in the second movie when she herself makes this baseless assumption, "the jedi are encouraged to love." they are raised to love everyone but to not let that love destroy them, it's one of the reasons why they're taken in so young.
The reality is force sensitives feel so much of everything around them and the jedi teach how to deal with that, but they are never taught not to love, they are taught not to consume and those are two very different things.
