being high is understanding what animal crossing characters are saying w/o reading the dialogue box
Thinking of how Legolas began to feel the call of the sea, irresistible and overwhelming, during the quest and yet waited until everyone in the fellowship died before leaving. Except Gimli of course, who he took with him.
He waited decades out of love and friendship.
Thinking about Merry and Pippin buried next to Aragorn.
Thinking about Eomer who called for Merry at the end of his life, to see him one more time before he passed away.
Thinking about Sam who, after Rosie passed away, left Middle Earth to see Frodo one more time before his own death.
Thinking about Legolas and Aragorn singing for Boromir, Merry and Pippin who owe their lives to him praising his deeds and bravery.
Thinking about Gimli, who walked the Path of the Dead out of love of Aragorn and visited Fangorn forest out of love of Legolas.
Thinking about Gandalf, who feels responsible for the heavy burden he placed on Bilbo and Frodo, and who took them with him to Aman, traveling with them one last time to bring them somewhere where they will finally know peace.
The love i have for them.

10 Reasons To Watch Given
there are five frogs staring at me right now
but only one can be america’s next top model
thinkin about my (openly gay) lit professor today saying, “one of my favorite historical anecdotes is the time that Oscar Wilde was in America, at the same time that Walt Whitman was active and writing poems about sticking his tongue down other men’s shirts, and Wilde went to Whitman’s house exactly one time and spent several hours there, and ever since all these historians have been like ‘what could they have been doing???? it’s such a shame we’ll never know...’ and I just.... we know. the only question now is who was the top.”
Nothing is funnier than when Boomers make political cartoons that end up being accidentally hysterical. Case in point

so who else is in the mood to run off to a series of small, interconnected caves with me, and be cave neighbors for the next ten years,
cons: we wont know about any new memes pros: we make our own cave neighbor memes about the bugs we see doin weird shit and that one cave that leaks when it rains except we can’t find the hole it’s leaking through
cave memes i’m submitting for your consideration:
*aiming hunting implements at anything that isn’t a bird* this bird is gonna be delicious
personifying rocks, constnatly,
“my digging skills are delightful, which you would know, if you ever bothered to know me the way you know your beetles”
throw the stone, Maurice.
one of our cave neighbors is a geologist. they know the names of all the kinds of rocks. the rest of us mispronounce them constantly on purpose and correct each other’s pronunciation with even more wrong ones.
making up elaborate insults towards bugs, and saying them, to the bugs
the implications of Ji-won’s moss beds (the joke is nobody can ever agree on the implications)
mushrooms in places they dont belong
yelling “hhchruckkkk!” in a high-pitched voice, several times in a row, whenever
“the best tasting dirt comes from Jamal’s cave”
worm disco
feel free to submit your own cave memes
these are some of the best memes ive seen all year in all honesty
The Mandalorian is so honest about death in warrior culture in that last episode. Painfully so. Din knows he’s dying, but it’s done in a way where rather than go out in a blaze of glory he just accepts the fact that he’s going to bleed out on the floor alone. It’s not heroic or romantic, it’s just sad. He’s frantic to get Cara to follow through on his mission and he SAYS she needs to let him have a warrior’s death, but after she leaves he…doesn’t. He doesn’t go down fighting, he doesn’t throw out a quippy one liner before killing himself and his enemies around him, he literally just asks the droid to mercy kill him. As someone who watches a lot of Westerns, this was very jarringly surprising to me. The “blaze of glory” trope is so ingrained in Westerns that I expected him to plan to do something stupid before someone saves him, but Din doesn’t. He’s scared and he’s alone and the show just allows that. There’s a lot of Din that’s still a traumatized, broken little kid and we SEE how old he actually is and how long he’s lived like this and the whole scene is just heartbreaking. Death isn’t glamorous, it’s just a scared man bleeding out on the floor and nothing to be romanticized.
#that’s hot
Since we can’t see his face… EMOJIS!
