Nobody ever mentions anything about the sexually deviant tendencies in the amazing world of gumball outside of just Ha ha funny adult joke that goes over kids' heads. They put furry fauxcest and an anthropomorphic ice cream that likes making rpf ship art of 12 year olds and underage pantyshots and so so much more in this cartoon that I watched when I was 2-6 years old and 30 year old men who review cartoons for a living still think it's a blessing from god

I think a lot of people do actually know more that what TAWOG has written into its series is "wrong" but choose to ignore it because of the feeling they get from watching older shows from their childhood, although I've yet to watch the second series myself, I did have the suspicion that it was mainly brought back for the hope of TAWOG regaining that same revenue that it previously received when it aired in Cartoon Network.

It is extremely alarming however now looking back at it as I've grown the sense of nuance and a much more boarder way of understanding certain things and while I did notice those really weird episodes of Sarah, I mainly coaxed it to it just being satire and almost making fun of the fanbase during its time and now of how the people treats its characters and whatnot. But it's almost ironic in a way that I viewed it as such when the writers and animators themselves would often over emphasize on the children character's butt and make a lot of jokes that would be more appropriate and more atoned to adult characters over children characters in children show

While I appreciated the concept of TAWOG itself as a more episodic show rather than be strongly story driven, it was ultimately a disaster when the writers really only began to treat Gumball and Darwin in such a odd and demeaning manner, people and especially those super fans of it tend to overestimate the power that this show exhibits and say it's the one of the best shows of its time and I won't disagree that it was definitely extremely popular during its time and later on, I find it extremely ironic that the writers essentially poke fun at its fans for how they treat the characters in fandom spaces and actively pushing these characters into incestuous scenarios or even other scenarios of serious degrees, it's like, dude, call coming from in the house </3

Overall, I will not be watching TAWOG, partly due to the fact my interests in media has changed drastically over the past few years where in 2023 I probably would love to revisit it again, but now with the horror stories I've heard about this seasons TAWOG? Hard pass, unless someone has a super duper ultra mega cool fanfic rewriting the series or smth then hmu
