Something that I don't see often is people talking about is how hard lithium and medications like it suck because they're measurable in blood. I'm starting partial and the first thing they're going to ask is my lithium level. Not how I'm feeling, not what brought me here, but if my lithium is low.

And then they're going to increase my lithium, ignoring my hand tremors and personal wishes because that's the immediate fix they see. It never touches the root of the problem.

I'm anti psychiatry for a lot of reasons but this has to be the biggest one. They won't even see me as a person until they know my lithium is in acceptable ranges.
