intro!!!

hello!! im making this post finally after years of having this account!! previously under the user of dagapnb or socks_pawz now changed!

right now I’m super into stuff like monkie kid, supernatural, jjk, rottmnt, sonic, and more!! id love to be mutuals with people with the same likes :))

I'm also currently writing a shadowpeach fic over on AO3 :)

I wanted them to be from before the whole “stuck under a mountain for 500 years” thing /j so now they’re older!

Alternatively, I wanted Wukong to have a mini Mac and Macaque to have a mini Wukong to give each other hell because that’s humorous. Better yet, the magic powers are switched!

okay, change of plans 👏 @fjtrickster-blog made an excellent point that got my gears turning

instead of only picking only one of the designs, they suggested making some of them support cards (aka enchantments and instants), so that's what i did

i feel like card 5 and 6 work best as the main/creature card, so why not do both as variants of the same card

(note, the cards don't have the right colour now except the last two, but they're also missing their legendary shiny thingy)

this project is gonna be bigger than i expected but i'm hyped

Reposting some quick drawings I made a looonng time ago about clumsyshadow and a small storyboard animatic I did

The story was that Macaque waited for Wukong to return from JTTW. So there's no revenge arc. He got super mad about it because he took so long to come back and Ao lie told Macaque to not be angry at Wukong and everything. And they got closer but we all know how it ends. It's a sad ending that I never made, I had ideas for that

Also Wukong is soooo shipping them and he's like the friend who gives you advice to flirt but Macaque doesn't listen him because he's dumb

i have been dragged into magic the gathering by a friend and have found that there is no Sun Wukong card and very few monkey cards overall so my hyperfixation kicked in and now i'm in the middle of making my own-

here's my first design :D Macaque is also in the works already

if you're a mtg nerd, card stats of his and a bunch more are under the cut, i've only played a few times, and only commander, so they are probably super unbalanced and wrong lmaoo (also my cards are all german/english so if i messed up any terms or phrasing, it's probably because of that 😭✋ don't hit me, it's a big wip)

i plan on making these actual playable cards and mayyyybe make them available in my merch shop when i'm done :D (that is if mtg doesn't come and haunt me)

and ofc i had to put a lmk ref in there lmaoo
