i never go to these lengths to comment on something i've read online (to the extent of sending an anonymous ask), and i'm sending it almost as an apology, as i was fully prepared to read your article and roll my eyes which just shows how much i've surrendered to being an arsehole cynic! this whole passage in dazed ('sometimes it’s fun to be the freak amongst those freaking out, the glitter clogging the machine') was so beautifully articulated and really struck a chord. thank you.
