I swear to god, the universe is working against me when I try to come online to do drafts. But I have a day off coming up so I'm trying to get everything I owe in order. Also if anyone would like, I'm always down to plot things for Stitch, just bear with me a bit.
Yondu: we'll take them batteries--what they're worth what--a quater mil on the open market?
Taserbutt: That priestess offered us a million! A quarter is only one-third of that!
Yondu: A quarter ain't a thir--
Fucking Gef: A quarter is 25.
Yondu: No--
Fucking Gef: We can't even buy a pair of boots with only 25 units.

Corvus: -sensing an ungodly amount of stupidity right about now-
Corvus: Fucking Gef.

“Why are you staring at me?”
“It’s like you escaped from a Hallmark card or something.”
“I’ve never heard this song before! What the hell is it?”
“Have you any last words before I dispatch you?”
“Thank you for taking care of my bride, peasants.”
“Would you like me to call someone for you?”
“Oh my, this is a twist in our story! It’s the brave little princess coming to the rescue.”
“You know that you will live happily ever after.”
“Let me guess. You’re looking for a beautiful girl, too?”
“Is that the only word you know? “No?”
“No. Spiteful, vindictive, *very large*, but never crazy.”
“You’ve met your match, you foul bellowing beast!”
“You want a show? I’ll give you a show.”
“You have no idea who you’re dealing with.”
“I seek a beautiful girl. My life partner, my one coquette, the answer to my love’s duet.”
“You know most normal people get to know each other before they get married. They date.”
“Forget about happily ever after, it doesn’t exist.”
“Silence! You lying, murderous wretch!”
“Don’t you think that’s a bit melodramatic, dear?”
“Is this a habit of yours? Falling off of stuff?”
“We shall be married in the morning!”
“You’re gonna marry somebody after a day?”
“How about this, and they all lived happily ever after? Well, at least I did.”
“I’m surprised. You said you couldn’t dance.”
“Look around you. This is where the path of hatred has brought us.”
“It would’ve been better if we never met. None of this would’ve happened.”
“I’d rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you.”
“Is this bottomless pit a friend of yours?”
“Well, I’ll just have to take it by force then, won’t I?”
“You see what I mean? Once two sides wanna fight, nothing can stop them.”
“Look, we don’t have to fight them.”
“I’ve never been a popular man.”
“I lied for you once. Don’t ask me to do it again.”
“You must choose your own path.”
“Close your eyes. Now forget what you see.”
“Go ahead. Shoot me.”
“Shall I - ahem - leave you and the blackboard alone for a moment?”
“It can’t get any worse, can it?”
“Do not let them see you and do not seek them out.”
“Why are you threatened by anyone different from you?”
“There are no trails through a woman’s heart.”
“Okay. It’s all fun and games till someone loses an eye.”
“Hey, look, I made a bridge. It only took me like, what? Ten seconds? Eleven, tops.”
“You ask too many questions! Who are you? Who sent you? Speak up!”
“Trust me on this one. You don’t wanna know.”
“Hey, I had nothing to do with it.”
“Well, as far as me goes, I just like to blow things up.”
“I thought you said this thing could cut through a femur in twenty-eight seconds!”
“You didn’t just drink that, did you?”
“Of course, it’s been my experience, when you hit bottom, the only place left to go is up.”
“Get back! I’ve got soap, and I’m not afraid to use it.”
“I didn’t say it was the smart thing, but it is the right thing.”
“'Bout time someone hit him. I’m just sorry it wasn’t me.”
“I could unblock that if I had, like, two-hundred of these. Problem is, I only have, like, ten, plus three of my own, a couple of cherry bombs, road flare…”
“Now, let’s go over it again, just so we got it straight: you didn’t find anything.”
“Yeah, I really wish I had a better idea than this.”
“I thought you said he only had guns!”
“You said we were in this together!”
“I consider myself an even tempered man. It takes a lot to get under my skin, but congratulations, you just won the solid-gold kewpie doll.”
“Take him to the tailor, boys.”
cannibalisticwhistler:
“Make three– big enough t’ fit most, with a bit of adjustment. Hoods t’ go over the heads. We can have some of our boys down in the pit make some visors that’ll hold up against fire. Won’t be perfect, but we can keep ‘em on hand for special occasions– next time some idiot tries t’ set fire to the ship, probably.”
Though it remains unspoken, he’s got the same thing on his mind. It doesn’t matter what he does these days– someone on the crew will find a way to twist it AGAINST him.
The weight of it sags on his bones. For a moment he frowns at the leather, then he turns to depart– but something keeps him there. Uncertainty. The crew’s beginning to divide their loyalties, and he doesn’t know what side Stitch stands on.
“You’ve been hearin’ TALK. I know you have.”
he nods to his captain’s commands, bundling up the leather and jotting down his notes on a datapad, running through a list in his head of measurements and materials. there’s still a mound of uniforms he’s got to work on, not to mention that oblo would scalp him if his new jacket wasn’t finished like he’d promised two weeks ago. his job was getting to be difficult to handle, and these side projects weren’t helping the load at all.
stitch expects for yondu to leave him to his job, but when the old centaurian stands there, and he says exactly what the tailor was hoping he wouldn’t, he tenses up. “yeah. lot of ‘em ain’t happy about xandar. i do what i can to squash the naysayers, but there’s talk you’ve gone soft, boss. it ain’t good. i try not to think of the worst, but sounds like mutiny’s brewin’.”
he doesn’t believe in whatever idiotic cause taserface is pushing on the others. which is why he sets his datapad down, crossing burly arms over his chest. “you ain’t ever given me reason to doubt you. dad didn’t raise no traitor. you need me with you if shit hits the fan, i’m your man.”
didntmeantomutiny:
“ – I ain’t pissed off no-one!”
Even as a blanket statement, it’s untrue. He’s generally pissing off someone or other. Part of being a Ravager, part of being first mate. Part of being Kraglin and maybe not having the best sense of when to quit.
“No one reads them reports.” They’re not much for bureaucracy. “Why’d we bother if we can just come an’ ask –?”
Fingers reach out to prod curiously.
“If you read the reports, you’d know that touchin’ that’s gonna burn your fingers off.”
It wasn’t true, not in any sense of the word. The material was heat resistant, but if anyone bothered to read up on his updates, they’d already know that. He grumbled and swatted at Kraglin’s hand, shoving the other aside, with half a mind to shove him out into the hallway. Everyone always interrupted him when he was working.
“If you’re gonna hide out here, make yourself useful an’ sort that fabric pile out. Colors, then length.”
so i’ve got work today and tomorrow night, then i’ve got tuesday and wednesday off. but since it’s father’s day, while i try and catch up here before i have to go to work, i’m gonna toss stitch’s dad on here for the next couple days. if anyone wants a starter or wants to send questions to his papa, let me know!

continued from here.
she’s never been hit before. accidents happen, sure, but never a closed fist with ill intent, anger behind clenched knuckles, flesh meeting flesh. it had startled her, so much so that when stitch asked her who hurt you, her words were swallowed by a cry that bubbled up, an avian sound that sounded wounded and scared. she had to move her hands away from her face when his rose up, and she was doing her best not to cry, but tears lined those yellow eyes. ❛ not know name.. ❜
“it’s okay, i’m not gonna hurt you.” he was gentle as he cradled her face, wanting to pull her close to his chest, to shield her there from any further harm. he put an arm around er shoulder and started to lead her back to his quarters, away from the others as they all lost their sense to roughhousing. he didn’t want her to be struck again, because he doubted he would be able to hold back his anger then. he was silent until they reached his quarters, pulling her inside and offering her a seat while he rummaged around for painkillers, handing her a soft, embroidered handkerchief. “i’d clean up the blood for you, but i don’t wanna hurt you by accident.” he admitted sheepishly.
gotta apologize again for not being here, guys. work is kicking my ass. thank god i have one day off this week, during which i’m gonna be getting to replies. and also starters if anyone wants one. but i’ll try and be on monday night after work, definitely gonna be here tuesday.

☆♚┊ “oh c’mon. you gotta be used to it by now,” the quip coming from him was so natural by now. “besides, i’m here because i need something.” yeah. that was the way to assure someone. good job, peter.
“yeah, y’all need somethin’ right around the time you start botherin’ me.” it never failed. stitch rolled his eyes at the other ravager, tossing aside bits of scrap cloth. could be used as rags, maybe. “what is it you need? make it quick, i ain’t got all day.”
“I know you’re busy, but I’ll make this quick. I just want to check on your back to make sure it’s healing properly.” Especially after that incident with the idiot Gef. Yondu sure laid onto him, everyone in the damn ship heard it.
@ravagerprick + sc.
“knew i shoulda worked without a shirt on today.” stitch sighed and pulled at his collar, tugging his shirt over his head and tossing it aside. the wound should have been on the final stages of healing, though it still looked angry and red. “what’s the diagnosis, cor?”
