I hate to do this...

but I think it’s time to admit it’s become necessary.

As of this moment, all of my RP blogs save for Al are officially on Hiatus.

The muses are still here, I can still feel them, I just…can’t hear them as well as I used to, even the newest ones. Hell, in all honesty, I can barely hear Al some days.

I’ll still be around in the general sense, I just…I need some time to try to get everything back together. Things just haven’t been the same since I got sick last month- or for a while, now, in the cases of some muses.

I apologize if we had threads that were going and you’ve been waiting on me. I’ll try to get to them when I can, but unless/until I say otherwise, any replies you see from one of my blogs that you see this on will be something spit out of their queue.

I’m really sorry to do this, guys. I wouldn’t be doing this if I thought I could stir them up again- believe me, I’ve tried. Hopefully this will pass soon and we can get back to business as usual.

Until this is over, you can find me on the blog this is originally posted or on bronzeguardian itself. You can also poke me on my Skype. It’s listed on BG’s info panel. Just make certain you let me know who you are when you add, otherwise I automatically deny random add requests. (And remember, if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m always willing to end an ear. "I am pleased that you approve, My Lord. They make so many fascinating things in their compensations for their lack of magic such as we possess." He continued around the room, offering an explanation or tale of the item’s acquisition when questioned.

When asked as to his favourite piece, he paused, genuinely considering his answer. Was his Lord truly curious of his favorite, or did he intend to destroy whatever he named his favored piece as punishment for taking so long to take Ciel’s soul, as he had previously mentioned in mild scolding. One never knew when it came to the Beast.

In either case, no matter the outcome, honesty was best when it came to Satan. Demons or not, he did not take kindly to being lied to. Some small part of him hoped that he was merely curious as he moved to a small glass case, settling his hand atop it. Inside the box lay, on a small cloth bag, a string of beads of decent length.

"That would be this. They were given to me by a human, if My Lord would believe such. I believe he suspected as to my true nature and gifted them to me as a measure of irony." He didn’t mention that the human in question had also called him his ‘friend’…the first human to ever have done so.

There was no mistaking the nature of the object in the glass case, Satan could sense the rosary beads power even from behind glass. He would be unable to touch them without them damaging his skin and it was likely the Raven would suffer a similar reaction which could be why they were locked away. Satan could punish the other for keeping a holy object in his home but would not this time, as Satan himself also kept a memento of heaven, a beloved object he could never, ever touch. Instead he chuckled, keeping a safe distance from the rosary’s, as even from behind glass they made him shudder “An ironic gift indeed, you had best keep such trinkets under lock and key, Malphas, some do not take to kindly to a demon keeping such an object as it could be used to forge a weapon against demonkind.”

"He was quite the interesting human, that one. A shame his talents were put to use in service of a human." But, then, Agni wouldn't have been the same man had he not been paired with that insufferable prince. He bowed slightly at the order toward caution, nodding.

"Of course, My Lord. Only I possess the means to open this room as well as the case, and no one other than myself and the demon whom brought us the wine knows of what is kept within. No one is permitted to enter this room without my leave, Yourself being the exception to both, of course."

The Raven watches as his lord examines his collection, a single eyebrow arching ever so slightly at the piece which caught his attention. It was a simple snow globe he had obtained during his stay in the human world a number of years prior.

"It is called a Snow Globe, My Lord Satan. It is no magick, though the humans do seem to liken the feelings they stir within them to such. The figures within are fabrications meant to represent a particular scene. The particles are meant to simulate fallen snow when the globe is upturned and shaken before being righted." he explained, turning slightly as his servant returned with the wine. He poured a glass of it, testing it first before pouring a second for the Demon of Demons. One never knew when someone may attempt to poison himself or his Master- they were all demons, after all.

"My Lord is more than welcome to take it should he desire it, of course. I would be honoured if My Lord would consider it a gift.” he said as he offered the beast the second glass.

The glass of wine is taken but ignored as Satan continues to keep his full attention of the snow globe. Keeping a tight grip of it in his hand, he turns it upside down, giving it a vigorous shake, then rights it. The white glittering particles swirl about like a maelstrom, then slowly begin to settle over the miniature scene captured within the globe.

At the mention that the Raven wishes to offer it as a gift, Satan grins and nods; with a flick of his hand, the snow globe disappears in a puff of black smoke. The beast now makes his way around the room again, picking up various items and examining them, the Raven trails obediently behind him, offering interesting details about each item

“A generous gift, Malphas, as I too am a collector of trinkets from Assiah. Your collection is most impressive. Do you have a favourite piece?”

He finally rose to his feet as his master gave a faint gesture of permission, bowing his head gratefully. “He has not, in truth, done so. Several others served that purpose, instead. I prefer my meals otherwise seasoned as of late.”

"Of course, My Lord." He waited a moment for the other’s response before allowing his power to swell momentarily, calling his attendant. The briefest of moments passed before an elderly demon of rather low power rank stepped into the room, bowing low.

“Yes, Master? What might I do for you?" he inquired, keeping his eyes to the floor.

"Fetch the finest wine we have on hand and have it brought to my study. Our Lord Satan would like a drink." he answered.

“As Our Lord wishes, Master." The lesser demon lowered his bow in acknowledgement before backing out of the room, only lifting from his bow once he was out of the room, and hurried to do as he was told.

"My study is where I keep my favorite collection pieces. Please, My Lord, allow me to show you the way." He gave a bow of his own, one such as those he proffered whilst playing at being Ciel’s butler, and lead the beast to the room in question. The door was held open to allow his ‘guest’ to enter first before he followed him in. Various trinkets and books adorned the walls and tables of the room.

The beast glides gracefully into the Raven’s study, his robes dragging behind him on the marble floor. The room full of Assian artefacts, many Satan does not recognise. His attention falls upon a particular trinket; the beast goes to where it is sat, nestled amongst the other items. His clawed hand wraps about its smooth surface and as his usual habit he gives it a sniff first.

It is a transparent globe with some sort of scene set inside, a miniature world encased in glass and water As his hand moves it unsettles small white particles inside making them dance and swirl. The Great Dragon has never seen such a thing and he is fascinated, the fire in his eyes reflecting on the glass. Even the arrival of a servant with wine does not take his gaze away from the shimmering globe

“Is there a world trapped in here?” he asks “What magick is this?”

For my writing partners...

I know y’all will tell me not to worry about it and that it happens- the same thing I tell you guys when you’re feeling like this- but I still feel like I need to say it…

I’m sorry, you guys. I’m sorry I haven’t been writing like I normally do lately. I’m sorry I can’t seem to find the motivation to do anything more than crack or short one-liners. I’m sorry any replies I do manage to get out take forever and are shit- especially when compared to my writing just a few months ago.

I’m not entirely certain what’s caused it, but no matter what I do, I just cannot seem to get in the mood for writing- really writing- anything lately. When I can manage to get into a mood to write, I can’t make myself pick up anything.

I can’t say for sure how long it’ll take for me to get my motivation back; I don’t want to say “get my muses back” because they’re all still here, but…we just can’t convince ourselves to do anything; but I promise I’ll do everything I can to get it back.

I love writing with all of you…I really, truly, do…and in general. I just…lately… I don’t know.

I won’t blame any of you if you want to drop threads with me because of how long I’m taking…I know some of you I’ve owed for at least a month… Maybe if I’m lucky the trip to to see my mother later this month for her birthday will help… We’ll see, I suppose.

For now, I won’t be taking on any new, big, threads… I’ll still do little brief conversation bits and asks and just general bs’ing, but…any bigger stuff’s gonna have to wait until I can get out of this funk.

So, yeah… Thanks to everyone who’s been- and is still being- patient with me. I’m sorry I’m such a dragarse lately. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.

Of course his question wouldn’t be answered. His Lord had no need to bother with such trivialities, although it was best to pay them to him all the same. One never wanted Satan of all demons to feel his due respect had not been paid, after all. He remained in his kneeling position, long ago having learned that it was best to stay low until permission to rise was given.

"I have, indeed, my Lord Satan. His was a most bothersome contract. However, his soul has been added to my power and, thereby, to your own. My most humble apologies for allowing a mere human to delay me so." Such platitudes would serve him naught should the mood strike the Master of hell to be angered with the Raven, yet, again, it was best to offer them all the same on the chance that he may be found to be in a generous mood.

"Troublesome indeed," he rumbles with mirth in return, "One might have believed you were rather fond of the youngster; no doubt he must have graced your bed a few times, eh?" Satan grins at that particular thought. An upward flick of his hand gives silent permission for the Raven to get to his feet.

"But no matter, the deed was none eventually, let us hope it was worth the wait…Now then how about a glass of wine? Lest I am expected to stand here in your hall for the rest of my visit?"

Instead he quickly schooled his features into placidity and swept into a low bow as he dropped to one knee. “To what do I owe the great honor of being graced with your presence if I may be so bold as to inquire?”

It was rare that Satan, Lord of all Gehenna and creator of all demons would step out of the citadel. It was even rarer that he would grace the presence of the home of another but very occasionally on a whim, the beast would venture out and visit his subjects

The carriage he travels in speeds through the demon city, its streets are crowded, full of demon folk going about their business. They part for the royal coach, daring not to gaze to long, lest their Lord strike them down in his anger. The horses that pull the carriage are huge beasts, snorting blue fire. The raven demon’s home is set just on the outskirts of the city in the wealthy merchant district.

Satan does not reply to the raven demon’s question, gliding past the other and walking into the grand reception hall. The demon had done well for himself by the looks of it,

“Can I assume you finally took the soul of that young boy?” the beast asks, wandering about the hall as if he owned it “It took you long enough, eh?”

Demon of the Week 012

Malphas is a mighty Great President or Prince of Hell. He builds houses, high towers and strongholds, throws down the buildings of his enemies, destroys their desires, and can quickly bring artificers together from all places of the world. Malphas willingly and kindly accepts any sacrifices offered to him, but will easily deceive the conjurer to do his biddings. 

Malphas is depicted as a crow who can transform into a man, and he speaks with a hoarse voice. He also rises from the vanity of mankind, plaguing those he touches and rendering his conjurer mad with dementia, hallucinations, and mighty illusions. Malphas commands forty legions of demons.
